take on the Ferguson riots

I'll never understand the mentality of people after a jury verdict..or in this case a lack of indictment.  Forget what your personal opinion of the facts of a case, forget that this was the only the 11th time since 2010 that a grand jury refused an indictment in a case like this and I don't think anybody thinks we know all the fact and more importantly this is far from the only case like this.

I'm not anti-protesting and fully understand but why the hell would you take to the street and throw rocks through store windows and burn cars when they are the cars and shops of your own neighborhood.  We saw this after Rodney King, we saw it after Zimmerman and now we're seeing it in Ferguson… and it never quite made sense.   If you are angry at an injustice how does burning your working class neighbor's car on fire or looting your local grocery store help??   If they went to St. Louise and burned down a bunch of Mercedes' or broke into a Tiffany's I'd at least say that it's a class battle but to take down your own local stores and cars is idiotic.

I didn't even know about the Ferguson non-indictment -- which, btw, was absolute bullshit, as grand juries virtually ALWAYS indict the suspect, but the dumbass DA allowed the cop to testify in his own defense, which is unheard of in grand jury proceedings -- till very late on Wednesday. I only watch sports, porn, HBO, and Skinemax, so I no longer pay attention to the world around me except thru sports news and Facebook updates.

And this blog.

I blame myself for not having checked in earlier on this blog.
