Take on the addiction

The expectation is that 140 Republican will object to the Electoral College results next week.meaning that they obviously don't stand for free elections and also not for convention and rules

The act hasn't shocking, these are sycophants who seem to only get their own self worth from occasional shoutouts from Trump and they realize that when he's gone they will have to stand on their own two feet which must be scary when they've been getting pulled on his coattails.

The best thing is that there is no way Trump knows any of these idiots and in three months will have no interest in campaigning for them.

So they sell their souls to the devil only for the pleasure of being in his sphere for a minute more. He's like heroin

Take on Trump’s return to DC

Trump said he would skip his $1000 per year Rockin' New Year's Eve bash to go back to DC early. If he were any other president during a pandemic, you would think he'd be busy questioning why Operation Warp Speed was acting like the tortoise. You'd think he'd be making sure he's force Congress into the $2000 a person Covid relief he started to champion. You'd think he'd go to DC if for now other reason than the optics but with Trump, it alway seems more sinister

He's up to something snd he will make sure the last 21 days of his presidency will make it near impossible for Biden to take over successfully.

The stink of this presidency will hang over us for decades

Take on Mitch

There aren't many people in America who I despise more than Bitch McConnell. His entire resume is a combination of trying to make sure nothing positive happens under a Democratic president and doing nothing good at all while serving under a Republican president.
His refusal to allow a vote to give people in need $2000 of their own money back.
This is Mitch in a nutshell, give corporations and millionaires a tax break and Mitch is first in line to take a bow
Give money to people who have lost jobs or taken pay cuts during a once in a century pandemic and he's happy to leave them starving. Mainly because those people aren't going to stuff his coffers like the millionaires will for their tax cuts.

Take on that blue line flag.

I have nothing against law enforcement and have shown nothing but support for their job over my life. Ask my buddies about me shouting during 41 Shots at MSG in about 2003. I could have been convinced to have one of those flags with the blue line to show my support but it's very quickly become the new confederate flag, it's almost a socially acceptable way of showing bigotry.
I'm sure this wasn't the intention but when I see one of those flags waving or a similar lawn sign I have two thoughts

Chances of them having voted for Trump..95%
Chances of them having using N word regularly ..similar

Plus whatever happens to the rule that you couldn't turn the Stars and Stripes into anything other than just the original flag. You can't change it or turn it into a pit of underwear or whatever

Take on Liddle Marco

There really is no more despicable person that Marco Rubio. He is one who has sold his soul to the devil of Trump mostly for fear of getting primaried by Ivanka.
His tweet about Tony Fauci tells you all you need to know about a healthy 49 year older guy who cut the vaccine line even though he's done nothing to help try to stem to tide of this disease
He's a miserable human who has proven himself nothing more than a shill for Trump

Pathetic

Take on the bombing suspect

The Nashville explosion is now being called an apparent suicide which might be true but either way the fact that our president hasn't made a statement about this is troubling. Most likely he's waiting to find out if the suspect is a Trump supporter because if he's not, and if happens to have a Muslim last name, he's going to go nuts.
I suspect this guy worked at AT&T and got recently laid off and this was his revenge but it wouldn't shock me if this was some Rigged Election Tucker Carlson fanboy either

Take on the greatest Christmas never

There is no more exhausting week than the one right before Christmas. Between the cards, the office gifts, the wrapping, the kids anxiety and the endless delivery of Amazon boxes, it turns me into a regular Grinch.
But after it's all wrapped and places under the tree, we as parents should be able to sit back and enjoy our kids experiencing true magic, but we can't ever be that lucky. The fighting happens almost immediately, the tears flow predictably and the gifts get thrown around indiscriminately.
But th worst part is that I spend the next four hours building a bunch of random plastic toys which everybody in my house knows that will be something littered at the bottom of a closet in days. But here I am, spending 20 minutes installing some random piece electronic when all I want to do is drown myself in coffee.

Thursday, December 24, 2020

Take on Many Calls and Meetings

The press fallout for Trump's last couple of days has this off sentence. "His schedule includes many meeting and calls".
Trump has tried so hard to convince everybody he's a workaholic when in fact he is likely the laziest president we have ever had, never acting like the job is anything other than an opportunity to force people to listen to some random diatribe.
But he knows he's a lazy fool, so be convinced his press Secretary to dump that line in there when everybody knows he'll just be playing golf...again

Wednesday, December 23, 2020

Take on the rotten pardons

Trump continued his retirement tour with 16 new pardons including high profile buddies and family members. Roger Stone and Pauly Manafort were obvious choices as they lied and lied and lied again for his benefit. Charles Kushner was obvious too but wasn't one I was thinking of.
I have to wonder how the Drain the Swamp crowd is thinking about this and the mental gymnastics they are pulling to justify these pardons.

Although they should probably hold their disgust until the Eric, Junior, Ivanka and Jared pardons come in a few days

Tuesday, December 22, 2020

Take on the pardons

There is nothing I find more noxious than the power of the pardon. I can't think of a good reason a president has been granted this ability as every pardon i can recall from Clinton to Bush to Obama's have all felt dirty. But nothing will come close to what Trump has done and will continue to do. Every confidant who lied for him, every GOP politician who defrauded our country, every contractor who shot up a bunch of innocent Iraqis must feel good today because Trump is like Santa Claus just giving out pardons and immunity like they are cheap candy canes

But he's waiting for the big ones..Kushner, Ivanka, Junior, Rudy and himself

It's all coming in a few short weeks

Take on the new strain

WTF man!! As if 2020 hasn't been enough of the suck, the UK is now dealing with a new strain of Covid which is more transmissible than the one we're dealing with which has kept me from entering another house in nearly a year.
I have no idea what this means for the vaccine but I have to think a new strain would need a new strain vaccine which may make the one we're all waiting on line for obsolete before they get past the M's in the alphabet.
If this new version basically will inhabit you if you look at it cross which means we're all pretty well screwed. 2021 is gonna be off the hook

Sunday, December 20, 2020

Take on the first recipients

Somehow Covid deniers like Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio were all able to jump the line and get vaccinated which front line medical professionals wait in queue. It was always going to be a sloppy rollout but the idea that people who have spent the last 10 months spreading the virus are now getting vaccinated within the first week show exactly how swampy the swamp really is

And what's worse is that now that they are vaccinated, they will use it all as all license to act like a bigger bunch of maskless tools

And Mitch's doctor looks like a Klansman

Saturday, December 19, 2020

Take on the final chapter

Nothing give me greater confidence in Biden than his commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement mostly because anything Trump is so vehemently against has to be good.
The days of this miserable administration are numbered and within a bit over a month we will have adults back in charge but the fear we all have is that the amount of damage these guys can have on their way our the door is almost limitless. One thing I'm sure about is that he'll make sure to leave a key for the back door for his buddy Putin.

Friday, December 18, 2020

Take on The Guardians

I hated the idea of The Space Force from its infancy, it was never explained and it's cost certainly not justified and it always just sounded like something a group of 9 years olds would come up with. The fact that Trump and Pence were hawking it convinced us alll it was a terrible idea but nothing made it more true then when they named them. They did not get the monitor soldiers or Marines but instead are dubbed Guardians.
The entire administration's pet goal to somehow inflate the pentagon's budget even further is working swimmingly which seems totally sensible in the middle of a pandemic caused recession

Thursday, December 17, 2020

Take on the vaccine queue

I'm all for the most vulnerable people getting the vaccine and will never deny a front line healthcare worker from getting one but at that point this vaccine is going to come down to have's and the have nots. The idea that people who haven't been careful throughout the pandemic will get this ahead of those who have given up everything is infuriating. The fact that people who lived unhealthy lifestyles will get ahead in the line is too. And when Kanye and Kim and Alec Baldwin all start bragging about having gotten it, I'm going to flip

After the elderly and Covid doctors and nurses but if you've ever been in a movie or a TV show you get kicked to the absolute back, don't collect $100 and see you next year

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

Take on the presidential memoir

As Barack Obama's memoir breaks records, it begs the question of Trump will have a memoir and if so, who will write it for him. We all know that Trump will likely move a lot of copies even if he has to get the GOP to buy them like they did for Junior's book and also know that if a Trump is involved it will be self serving but mostly we wonder if it can be longer than about 20 pages as by that time Trump will be bored.
Anyway, it's also interesting to see if it can be published from prison

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

Take on those who refuse to take the vaccine

As the vaccines roll out around the country, there is a real question as to who will take them and who won't. I'm shocked how many people are in the non vaccine camp and figure the Venn diagram of people who won't take this vaccine and who refuse to wear a match looks a lot like a a perfect circle
I've had a horrible 2020 as have most of my friends, but when I speak to somebody whose kid was exposed and they say "quarantine smorantine" it drives me nuts. Here we are taking every precaution while friends and neighbors still treat this thing like the common cold because they "are over it"
I am happy about one thing, the more people that opt out means that I get to move up on the line. Like standing waiting for Space a mountain and the family in front of you gets ring by a bee or has an emergency bathroom trip.
As a buddy said earlier I see the vaccine as a Darwinism in practice

Monday, December 14, 2020

Take on the resignation of Bill Barr

When your presidency is so compromised that even Bill Barr has given up, I don't know what to think any more. Barr was going to make up for Jeff Sessions by being a complete sycophant but even he has some morals albeit took years to dig deep enough to actually find them. Barr refused to go along with Trump election fraud claims and he didn't release the Hunter Biden stuff both of which irked the Orange one and lead many to expect him to fire Barr. Barr beat him to the punch leaving his agency about 45 days till the administration implodes officially. I'm not sure what the point is, he certainly will always be seen as a Trump enabler and nothing he doesn't in this departure changes anything for me.

I'm sure he celebrated by hitting the all you can eat buffet dressed as Roseanne.

Sunday, December 13, 2020

Take on the Russian hackers

Russian hackers broke into and likely have seen our most sensitive secrets which seems insane mainly because in this car and mouse game, the mouse keeps winning. What else is insane is why they'd worry about it now as they were getting the one for free from Trump. We know that in 45 short days that won't be the case, but getting caught before Biden gets inaugurated must mean it was pretty blatant.

Take on Dr Doctor

The Wall Street Journal decided to publish an opinion piece yesterday from some dude named Joseph Epstein which made his brother a Jeffrey roll over in his grave

He tried to make the case that Dr Jill Biden should drop the Dr. because she wasn't a medical doctor which makes your wonder if he'd say the same to Dr Martin Luther King. I'm not sure who is worthy of the Dr monitor for Epstein but I'm guessing he's a fan of Dr Oz and Dr Phil and probably knows a thing or two about Dr. Feelgood

Friday, December 11, 2020

Take on secession

The official GOP party in Texas put out a statement suggesting that other states join them in plans of secession. It's an interesting perspective from the party of Lincoln bur that doesn't seem to dawn on these guys.

What is clear is that a bunch of states who are net gainers of federal dollars are now going to go off on their own and starting their own shrine of Trump

Don't think you will actually succeed as this has been tried once before but I guess go nuts and spend a ton of money on stupidity

Thursday, December 10, 2020

Take on the deadliest day

Covid claimed 3103 lives yesterday which ranks it as the fourth most deadly event in US history. We're talking higher than 9/11c higher than Pearl Harbor day, higher than the San Francisco earthquake

The only events higher than that are a hurricane which destroyed an entire city and two civil war battles

But yeah, keep not wearing a mask idiots

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Take on Hunter

I'm not going to allow this to get dubbed some massive right wing conspiracy but this Hunter Biden story is one I'm already sick of. We all know he was unqualified to sit on any of these boards and had his last name been Righetti he would have been working at Mocha Joe's. As s a Biden supporter, I'd demand Joe stay out of any legitimate investigation into the dealings of Hunter. I hope for their sake he comes out clean as a whistle but for a guy who was banging his dead brother's widow, I sort of doubt he's squeaky clean

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Take on the lame monolith

When that first monolith showed up in the Utah dessert I was intrigued. When the next one showed up in some town in Romania it was pretty obviously a hoax and then when a third one showed up in El Paso it became obvious that this is way played out

People can't let a good trick sit. They have to go and ruin it by making some ripoff metal statue

This has quickly become the metal version of the "helllloo" thing on Seinfeld

Take on the stubborn state

New Jerseyans helpful in trying to curb Covid? Fugetaboutit.

New Jersey has more crazies than even a reality show about The Shore could explain and people are so skeptical of everything that could possibly get them whacked that they refuse to participate in one of the most important aspects of keeping a few isolated cases into turning into an outbreak. It's disappointing to see but not surprising when you've lived in this state as long as I have.

This is one of the main reasons our numbers started to spike before those in surrounding states, because this entire state thinks it's got a little Tony Soprano in it.

Tss as me on Rudy’s diagnosis

One of the least surprising events happened today when Rudy tested positive for Covid. Mostly because he's a total trumpwhore who can't help himself from putting himself and other around him in danger mostly for the privilege of kissing Trump's ass

He's had quite a week. He had that hair blood dripping down his face. He ripped ass at that hearing and now he's checked in to a hospital and nobody thinks of him as some exemplary body of health. Chances he makes it out have to be 50/50 at this point.

Take on Microwaves

A few years ago there were these crazy happenings around the diplomatic mission in Cuba with a number of people getting weird sicknesses. There were all sort of theories floating around but the entire thing reminded me of the Magnets scene in Breaking Bad. Well two years BB basically nailed it with all of it being caused by pointed microwaves. I'm bot a fan of a microwave as it always makes your burrito soft but never quite knew it to be something that also made a bunch of diplomats winkies go soft

Take on the vaccine line

The New York Times out together an interactive tool (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/12/03/opinion/covid-19-vaccine-timeline.html) to see where you would find yourself on the vaccination line.    I put in my age, occupation and some basic health information and clicked go

It then takes you to a screen which shows you where you'd be in line of roughly 500 people and I'd be number 498.   Except for two people, I'd be the least likely people to get this vaccine.

I'm so done with this stupid virus, wear a mask over my mask and now I'm sure I'll get my vaccine sometime in 2022.    Pays to live a healthy lifestyle I guess

Take on Mitch

There isn't a man in America I despise more than Mitch The Bitch McConnell. It's party the fact he's a an obstructionist, it's partly because he's an opportunist and it's partly because his wife looks like a Kim Jong-Il.
But the other thing is he looks like he has no teeth when he smiles which seems weirdly appropriate

If for me to thinking that there is no state with two more god awful senators than Kentucky. Having both McConnell and Rand Paul sounds like pure torture

Take on the pandemic

People are done with the pandemic. They got a bit of freedom back and don't want to be shut back in their homes and we all can appreciate that...but at what point do we act like adults and do the right thing? I also would love to drink 5 beers and eat a bunch of wings and a burger every night but I'm an adult and I don't do stupid stuff just because I can.
What is most frustrating is that here is an end in sight now, the UK is starting vaccinating people this week and we should be the doing the same around the 10th. Within a few months there will be a herd like vaccination and we can go back to eating in restaurants, hugging our in-laws and going to Mexico..god forbid we have a bit of self control and hang on till then.

Take on the last 50 days

There is no doubt in my mind thy Trump will break every last dish he can on his way out the door. There were stories of Clinton staffers removing the W from keyboards which was sort of harmlessly lame but Trump won't do anything that boring. He'll likely steal the rugs, draw a mustache on the picture of George Washington (or more likely on the picture of Obama) and leave an upper decker in the residents quarters bathroom

He will also pardon every crook he's related to but unless your last name is Trump, getting a pardon won't be impossible, it will just cost you.
