Take on Trump’s attack on Ilhan Omar

Trump lives going after democratic lawmakers especially if they are women of color. He went after Ilhan Omar again today criticizing her for telling "us how to run our country"

The inconvenient truth is that Omar, like Trump, is a US citizen, so the country she wants to run is as much hers as it's his but that doesn't play with Trump. He sees two Americas, he sees the white Americans as the true ones and the rest as the outsiders whether they are black or brown, Latino or Asian, gay or straight. He wants to go back to the 1950s, he wants to see segregation, he wants his loyal followers to stand by

He's disgusting and every day our country has him as our leader is a day we hang our heads in shame

Take on the first debate

An hour and a a half later, nobody feels like that was time well spent. Trump did what Trump does and ignored presidential protocol, civility or basic decency and disgraced himself and the office. Biden tried to stay above the fray but his unevenness didn't give anybody enthusiasm to run to the ballot box

This election comes down to one basic choice

Trump wants your vote because you believe that his destruction will benefit yourself
Biden expects your vote because he's not Trump

Biden looked old, tired and frustrated, none of which are looks of confidence. He got Botox and then cur his hair to look like Trump's which made him look sort of albino and he reminded me a lot of Jimmy Carter....at age 85

Trump looked obese, his entire body looks rectangular as it fills up the screen like a drawing of a kindergartener. He case across as nasty, uncivil and childish which his base will eat up

Nothing about today changed your mind about Trump. If you liked Trump this will only embolden that affection. If you liked Biden, you hate Trump more now than a few hours ago.

One campaign is based purely around Trump, the other is purely about not being Trump

Take on the 1 million dead

We've hit the grim 1 million people number after only 8 months of the coronavirus and it continuous to beg the question if true leadership could have stopped this much earlier. I don't think that Obama would have prevented the 200,000 dead Americans because half the country would not have believed him if he told you water was wet. They would have called the entire thing theatrical tyranny propped up to win an election.

This is the problem, we are a nation so cynical of the motives of the left that the sycophants goaded by Hannity and Tucker walk in front of a moving car if Trump told us it would make them younger or richer. The left can suffer from the same affliction but most of the time they aren't cuckoo crazy.

Take on the Trump tax dodge

The story of the day came out after what can only be described as an extraordinary fear of journalism as a twitter user mused.
What it detailed was that Trump paid $750 in taxes in the year he won the presidency..not $750,000, not $75,000 but $750. That's less than he pays women to not talk about having sex with him
But the story should be about the $421 million he's indebted at this point. We figure some of it is to Deutsche Bank and the rest is funneled to daddy Putin
And as president of our country that means we are now indebted to Putin.

Thanks Trump

Take on Amy Coney Barrett

Well nobody was shocked but Trump mad it official when he nominated Amy Coney Barrett to succeed RBG. We know that the GOP is already committed
to go back on their word about not confirming a new justice in an election year so the hypocrisy will ring true. Of course the most important part will be the note in the senate which will come right on the even of the election, a perfect tableau for the end of 2020
We know that Mitch always had something up his sleeve, the question is does Chuck have something up his?? With him I sort of doubt it but nothing seems normal anymore

Oh, and she sucks

Friday, September 25, 2020

Take on Amy Coney Barrett

Amy Coney Barrett will likely be the newest member of the Supreme Court of the high court as the democrats will have been outflanked again. They all assumed the GOP would hold their word and be able to argue the moral high ground but it was not a surprise to this editorial board that they had lost the chance to win that argument years ago and there was no way they'd let this opportunity be one they passed on.
The only hope now is that Romney is playing the long game and will vote no in the confirmation hearing which will be the saving grace before we fall head first into a dramatic shift the balance of power which might take a decade to recover from

Take on Trump(doesn’t)care

Trump's been a frequent critic of Obamacare and he's gone to court to try to blow it up bur today he revealed that his America First healthcare plan is just a lame ripoff of Obamacare.
His signature part is a preexisting conditions provision which is exactly what Obamacare did. He wa light on real detail even-though he's been promising his major health care reveal for weeks. Most likely it won't be anything and will fall flat except for those who hate Obamacare and will just be happy if it got rebranded as Trump(doesn't)Care

Take on the transfer of power

There is no way that Trump was going to allow for a peaceful transferral of power He's spent the last year convincing his supporters that the entire thing is rigged by the democrats knowing they are all armed to the gills. Our country has not been at this kind of crossroad in a long time and Trump knows he can leave his mark in this country like a wet fart in a clean pair of tidy whities.
This election can't come soon enough, when we take our country back from tyranny of a madman but I'm fearful of what country we will have left

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Take on Trump’s take on Ilhan Omar

Trump is going all in with his nativism telling his crowd of worshipers that she shouldn't tell us how to run our country because the country she's from isn't that great.
This is dripping with racism but nobody around him calls him out for it or even pretends to care.  This is our country, people just pushing the limits to what they can get away with saying, it's like the last five years we've regressed back to the 50's.   How long before these lunatics suggest we have "colored only" bathrooms and entrances and asking people to segregate on a bus

Take on Putin’s soft spot

When Trump goes to bed at night he must feel comforted knowing Putin's got him by his ball sack as he pretends it's a Russian lady of the night. There has never been a more obvious situation where a president has been compromised than what we see out of Trump but somehow it doesn't grab any headlines anymore. Trump has never stood up to Trump, or any other dictator, but he's got a real soft spot for Putin and sadly that soft-spot is uncovered spot in our nation's heart.

Take on Trump’s handling of the pandemic

Trump
Told Bob Woodward that he's give himself an A grade for his own handling of the pandemic which is at surprising because he's a narcissistic psycho. The fact that he can't so much as say that not everything he did was perfect even in private conversations tells you that he's completely incapable of seeing the truth and keeping him In power for another four years could be the death to our country

Take on Trump going quietly into the night

Trump said today that if he loses to Biden he might just disappear and nobody will ever hear from him again which is as unlikely to happening as me winning the lottery while not actually buying a ticket. If there is one things the last four+ years have proven it's that Trump loves the political spotlight and he revels in the political fight. If he were to lose, it's unlikely he'll go quietly into the night as other presidents have done vowing to not criticize the office. For all the issues we had with W, he never impeded the ability for Obama to get to work. He was never somebody vocally second guessing his successors decisions, he stayed above the fray. Obama has done the same only offering vague criticism cloaked in a larger battle than an individual man even as this nation has begged him to be more forceful in his critique.
But if he loses in two months Trump will be on Hannity nightly, he will second guess every decision Biden makes. He will never give the office a chance to breath and the media will lap it up

We have to hope for a devastating defeat, one that forces him to cower in a disappointment so great it will force him into exile

Friday, September 18, 2020

Take on the notorious one

We all knew this could happen, we feared it but after the Merrick Garland fiasco, we knew snitch would have to be brought to face this situation again to see if he kept his word and bowers to let the Americans voter have a say or if he'd cower and ran through a nominee. We also all knew the answer to that question and it left us with the undeniable truth that McConnell has no morals whatsoever

I cannot believe the timing of this..not only will they be able to potentially get this over the line during the lame duck session but it will change the feel of the entire election. No longer will it be singularly about Donald Trump's failures but it will now allow right leaning voters who might otherwise sir this election out, to hold their noses and pull the lever for Trump

The entire election will turn on a single issue and that will pull the Republicans within striking distance of the Dems.

Take on the 1775 commission

What we need now, according to Trump, is a more patriotic educational mission. He's starting something called the 1776 commission which I think is a direct rebuke of the 1619 podcast.

Trumo doesn't understand anything past the whitewashed history we are taught and doesn't want to try. He's completely content living in his 1950's utopia where black people stay in their slums and white people move to their suburbs. Time to not make classes discussing the difficulties of race in our country as an elective but to force it into the core curriculum

His slogan should really be Make America White Again because that seems like his ultimate goal

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Take on Trump’s statistics

Trump's latest take on the pandemic is that if you take the blue states out, we would look rosy which is an interesting way to look at things. He then went on to say that these blue states should open up which I'm sure will do wonders for their death numbers but we digress
Trump has never looked at his job as one representing all Americans, he's completely content representing only the Americans that vote for him and he does it unapologetically. How the GOP has let him piss all over any ideals or morals they (claimed to) have is going to be one of the great political studies of our grandchildren's college careers

Take on the case for more testing

Trump discussing the US mortality rate with George Stephanopoulos came to one of those Trump moments where he steps on his own tie, falls on his face directly into a piling pile of dog shit and his supporters give him a perfect 10 on the dismount

George asks him about the excess mortality rate and Trump says it's amongst the best which is already a lie. The next comment is about the fact that despite only have 4% of the world population we have 20% of the deaths to which Trump responds with the tried and true "but we test more".

Great answer Don, I think you are now claiming that more testing leads to more deaths which is a funny way of looking at it

Anyway, at least he didn't make any dumb comments about herd mentality.

Take on the end of the peaceful transition

One thing I would bet my house on is that if Trump loses the election, he will call fraught, ballot box stuffing, illegal immigrants being bused in and every other conspiracy theory under the sun. It doesn't matter if he loses the popular vote by 6 million votes this time, he will claim it was rigged

And he will not leave. He will have one gigantic temper tantrum and he will refuse to leave

He will direct Bill Barr to try to push back the transition date, he will never leave willingly and if the GW Bush team was annoyed by the Clinton staffers removing the W's on their keyboards , wait till Biden's team shows up and find out Trump had Melania pee on him in theLincoln bedroom

Sunday, September 13, 2020

Take on the indoor Petri dish rally

Trumo decided to infect an entire arena of people as part of his strategy to have to stop working. It's hard to tell what his strategy is but I won't go for indoor dining at 25% capacity and these Trumpettes
are going to be French kissing and cupping each other's balls in an arena like they are at a Cher concert

Good luck dummies

Saturday, September 12, 2020

Take on the MAGA graveyard

Trump posted a photo which can beat be described as a MAGA graveyard with a big THANK YOU caption

I get that he's not a smart man and maybe this is just one of those times he's foreshadowing the inevitable but shouldn't somebody be doing a QC check before the leader of the free world sends this out?

Friday, September 11, 2020

Take on Melania’s pledge

When Melania stood awkwardly while her husband mouthed the pledge of allegiance, something seemed up. She didn't follow suit, she didn't even try. There was no part of her which gave you confidence that she even knew the words

And I'm ok with that, just like I'm ok with a football player kneeling to show the world how broken our criminal justice system is. But sadly the Trump fanboys won't be as consistent and won't kill her for this even as they've killed Kap . Because like most things, their conviction lies not in a moral position, it's lies in a deep need to own the libs.

I have doubts she even knows the words to it just like I have doubts Trump can recite the Lord's Prayer.

Take on Kim Jong Un’s health

Trump gave us a health assessment on Jim Jong Un declaring that he's in good health. I'm not sure why the health of a dictator is more important than say the health of 200,000 Americans especially in the eve of 9/11 but this is Trump
He doesn't see anything wrong with wishing Kim well or kissing Putin's ass but god forbid Merkel farts in his direction.

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

Take on the Woodward book

The entire Woodward book is going to be a doozy and most of the attention has been paid to the fact he purposely underplayed the pandemic.
But Trump has a throwaway comment about how he's developed this super duper secret nuclear weapon system which nobody knows about... this was like the time he told those Russian ambassadors too state secrets to show off.

But here we have it, tweedle dumb is so consumed by his own self that he can't even see the freight train coming right at him...or maybe it's heading straight at us.

Tuesday, September 8, 2020

Take on the Latino voting bloc

The idea that Latinos will bite in lockstep has never been true and the idea that some kid from Honduras is kept in a cage has almost no impact on a Floridian of Cuban descent.
The truth is that at this point, Trump has a much stronger grip on those voters than anybody could imagine and the way that Biden overcomes his lack of enthusiasm from that community by getting a huge outreach from both the black and the yoga going, vegan, latte drinking liberals and pulling the middle class white vote away from the darkness and into the light

I'm starting to it feel good about November and don't think my heart can take another of these.

Take on Trump’s reversal on the military and its budget

Trump has been trying to distance himself from a story in The Atlantic which shows him disparaging dammed troops and showing an almost entire lack of empathy to those who have fallen to protect our country

In his effort he decided to attack the pentagon and senior leadership who he said were only looking to start another costly war which would only make the military contractors rich. It's an interesting theory to try to show you love the military by...knocking the military. In this case, he's actually right, we do spend way too much on bombs and guns and jets while we can't seem to ever have enough money to educate our children, repair our roads, provide healthcare and any number of other projects which may have some real value

But its. It as if Trump believe it, this is the same embarrassment who has touted the money he's spent on the military, so like most things, he's full of orange crap.

Sunday, September 6, 2020

Take on Trump’s take on the 1619 project

Trump got his panties wet when he found out that California will be using the 1619 project as part of its curriculum in schools. We all know that we were given a white washed version of US history when we were in high school but the idea of setting the record straight and acknowledging that we, as a country, have a dark past is some kind of political statement is ludicrous. We have to know that what we were taught and what out children are taught is nothing short of gross negligence at it's best case and dedicated burial of an awful history at its most honest.

Take on the boat parade

I've been wondering what makes voters such imbeciles when it comes to their political views. It's a weird fraternity of five million dollars yachts, guys in $5k beaters, people who take cruises and average Joe fishermen in a row-boat but they all see to love everything about Trump

But today it all came to a perfect crescendo when a bunch of their boats sank a as they were parading down some river in Texas. I hope nobody got hurt but it's beyond funny to see these Trump flag waving selfish sycophants have to throw their 300 lb bodies into the surf while trying to decide whether to save their youngest child or their box of donuts

Good luck guys, hope you had insurance

Friday, September 4, 2020

Take on Melania

Melania stepped into the Atlantic story about Trump's disdain for our troops with the type of tweet you know she'd never dictate herself. The grammar was solid, the message was unambiguous and the entire core of it was boring. It's obvious that this story has struck a cord when they have to parade Melania whose closest step towards the military is having banged a small regiment of Slovenian infantrymen back in her day.
But this is what we are up to now, a woman who backed birtherism is telling others about fake courses.

Thursday, September 3, 2020

Take on Trump’s disdain for the military

We all know that a Trump doesn't understand the ultimate sacrifice that American soldiers make in defense of our flag. His entire worldview is that those who serve are suckers as there is no glory when there is no money.
This is the issue with Trump's supporters, they can claim that he's a pro military president but when it comes down to it he's a president without empathy.
He may want to buy a lot more bombs but he doesn't care to invest in the human toll.

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

Take on Trump’s take on Trump’s America

Trump has spent the last few months telling us all that under Biden we will have a Trumplike America that only he can prevent. Last the absurdity of the argument lies his belief that his supporters are dumb enough to not just actually believe it but have not ability for their own critical thought that they'd let the argument slide

The concept of The Buck Stops Here is something that is as foreign to Trump as the election help he got in 2016

We will likely see a revitalized far right win-lose or draw and in fairness to Trump's anti-utopian message, they will bring destruction to America cities if Trump losses which basically turns it into a vote for Trump or a munch of skinheads start running the streets

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Take on awful Susan Collina

Nobody has less of a spine than Susan Collins. She has done less for the American people than just about anybody in any position of power and continues to embarrass herself with her wavering not wavering position on Trump

Today she said she doesn't endorse Trump but made sure to mention that it don't mean she doesn't fully support every last bit of his miserable agenda

But now we are to the point where we can finally fire her.. and there would be no more gratifying and satisfying feeling that flushing Collins, Lindsey and Mitch down the Democratic toilet.
