Take on the Uvalde police department

The Uvalde police department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force hVe stopped cooperating with the investigation into what went so horribly wrong. It's an odd decision since we so often hear that police tell suspects that if they have nothing to hide they should just talk. But what continues to get me is that if we don't believe first responders, highly trained in diffusing such a situation are too afraid to take action, how the heck does arming a bunch of 2nd grade teachers make sense?

Let's get this issue back to its roots, we need to keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them. Criminals, terrorists, immature teenagers, people with psychological issues, people with arrest records. Make the GOP vote against that!!

And how about this idea.
Since we are having a hard time regulating guns. How about we regulate bullets? Want bullets, there is a wait list, a psychological test, a background check, a deposit and insurance required. Nothing in the constitution about ammo

Take on Trudeau

Canada is as gun loving as it gets but their Prime Minister just did something we can't ever imagine in the US. He grabbed his sack and decided that he would not be witness to a mass killing in his country. Not on his watch and he doesn't care what it will mean for his political ambitions. He's decided to stand up to Big Guns, he decided to hold the lives of Canadian school children above the money that the gun lobby throws their way.
He decided to be a decent person and to protect his country.

Joe, you're up

Take on 78 minutes of ineptitude

It took 78 minutes from when the Tubman walked into an elementary school until a squad was able to take him out. In those 78 minutes, lives may have been spared, injuries may have been treated and courage may have been found but none of that happened because why we have been told over and over doesn't actually happen in real life. A good guy with a gun doesn't actually come out and save the day, actually the good guy with a gun stood by and let the bad guy with a gun take aim at children.

The reason is that they were scared and that's justifiable because the killer had a couple of AR-15's and more ammo than anybody ever would need and they felt they were outgunned.

But no, keep telling me that easy access to assault style weapons and unlimited ammo isn't the problem. Let's keep putting them into hands of deranged 18 year olds and use thoughts and prayers to hope they don't snap.

Red Flag laws
Increase the age to 21
Mandatory federal background checks
Five day waiting period
Background checks for ammo purchase
Psychological screening

Take on Lyin’ Ted

Ted Cruz was once heralded as this brilliant constitutional scholar but the more we learn about him, the more obvious it is that he neither brilliant or a constitutional scholar. What I've found out about Cruz over the years is that he's a gutless, heartless, worthless piece of human excrement and that's from
listening to people who agree with him. For those who find him and his positions utterly despicable; we see what we have seen for years now, Ted Cruz is only interested in remaining in power, he's never shown us any kid of heart.

Take on the police squad who didn’t show up

The police force who showed up in Yuvalde wasn't ready by or action and they spent more time tasering and arresting parents than they did going into save a bunch of terrified kids. I can't stand that we as a country ask teachers to be armed but don't expect the people who we trust to protect us to actually, you know, protect our kids.

Take on BoBo the Clown

BoBo decided to open her mouth and as expected what came out of it was incomprehensible drivel. Her hot take was that after 9/11 we didn't ban planes which I assume she's equating with her desires to avoid doing anything about our gun problem. The issue is, of course, that we actually did make a ton of changes for air travel since the WOT began. Whether it's taking your shoes off, not being to carry at water bottle or toothpaste with you or much tighter scrutiny on what people bring into a terminal.

So maybe BoBo is ok with sensible gun regulation.

Take on Mental Health

A day after yesterday's shooting a bunch of wannabe copycats showed up including some kid near Dallas who showed up to school with an AK-47.
At the same Governor Abbott blamed yesterday on a mental health issue and stated that it could have been worse.

You usually say it could have been worse when you fall and don't break your arm, not when some kid shoots up an elementary school killing 20 people.

But the mental health line is what constantly gets me.

I'm fine saying that we need to address mental health as we as a country do a terrible job there

But here is a novel retort to those who say this is a mental health issue.. mke somebody who wants to own a gun pass a mental health test by a trained doctor and have every gun and piece of ammo require a full background check.

Take on Thoughts and Prayers

We decided after Sandy Hook that the safety of our children came second to our freedom to own guns. We decided that day that the lives of 20 children was a sacrifice they would have to make because we need to have easy access to guns. Since then we have increased the total amount of guns in our country which we were told would make us safer and of course the only thing we have become is more bloodied.

I'm sick to my stomach that I have to hear another politician offer their thoughts and prayers.

Take on Madison’s latest issue

Madison Cawthorn keeps getting caught with his pants down. This time the House ethics committee is investigating an improper trip to Aruba to engage in an improper relationship with a staffer. Sounds like Madison and his cousin were doing some more face banging and nobody in the house is happy they got handed the receipts from the minibar

Time for Madison to get a job working for Matt Gaetz

Take on the grift that keeps on grifting

Kushner and Mnuchin spent the last few weeks on the government payroll flying to the Middle East to secure financial deals with Saudi royalty for their new companies. I know team Trump doesn't care about ethics but how in our country this kind of blatant disregard of basic moral decency can so easily be swept under the rug is ludicrous. We should have both of these guys hung by their tanned balls for their very obvious double dealing

Take on the Russian banning of 963 Americans and the non naming of one

Russia has banned 963 Americans as retaliation for the US' not so covert support of the Ukrainians. The story isn't this but instead leads to the next level which is not who is on the list along with Biden and Harris. The question is who is not on the the list and The Orange Orangutan is the most visible omission.

Maybe Putin forgot, maybe he didn't make the cut or maybe he's a Russian spy.

Take on Elon

Elon Musk has had a bad month. His air of invincibility seems to have been cracked, his leadership questioned and his net worth has plummeted In addition to that he's gone from a liberal darling building a company on the back of the green energy revolution to a GOP talking point. His evolution is odd as it seems that he's being embraced by exactly the types of people who despise electric anything and is started to be hated by the people who he's built his empire off of.

His latest quagmire involves accusation that he exposed his erect penis to a SpaceX flight attendant which is mainly odd because who knew that those things had flight attendants. Do they serve pretzels mid flight and yell at you if you get up before the fasten seat belt sign has been turned off??

Take on the ProPain party

For a week I've heard Republicans rip Biden for the baby formula shortage questioning how this administration can have let this happened. But last night, as expected, when it came time for the GQP to step up and do something about it they voted En mass against a bill to send $28million towards the crisis. The obvious thought here is that they scream about being ProLife until a mother actually delivers a baby. At which point they are best described as ProPain.
Whether it's voting against bills like this, voting against universal PreK, voting against food stamp assistance, vote against healthcare, voting to put more of the tax burden on the most vulnerable or being indebted to the NRA and thus allowing…no inviting…kids to walk into a school armed and dangerous, they've proven over and over again to play be really Pro Life but instead being anti life.

I'm sick of the family first party, the party of destruction, the party of Tucker and Sean and Trump. They party of no compassion and the party of life.

Take on the ultimate Freudian slip

W Bush has endeared himself to some of his harshest critics over the last few years mostly as they started to see him as a dumb grandpa who retired from the transmission shop or maybe it was just that he wasn't Trump.

Tonight we were reminded of the carnage that he helped orchestrate with his invasion of Iraq and the countless lives he affected by none other than Freudian Slip Bush.

Let's not give passes so quickly again and remind ourselves that a life lead isn't just the last six months.

Take on the guy who beat Madison

The guy who just defeated Madison Cawthorn looks like an insurance salesman with yellowing teeth, a rug and breath that smells like rotting Munster cheese. This is not to say Chuck Edwards isn't a total weirdo himself but getting rid the the guy who skull banged his cousin, punched a dead tree, visited Hitler's vacation home and embraced Trump like his cousin helped embraced his penis in the car, is a good thing

Let's hope this Chuck guy is at least a serious person even if he looks like the kid of guy you try to keep away from your kids

Take on MTG

When in doubt, blame the media. This has been the GOP playbook for a long time and they seem to have perfected it, even as it's becoming tired and stale. It's like they think we want to see the jello wrestling with a pig gene in fact nobody has any help and there isn't even a pig in the barn. But anyway, Marjorie is upset because the Main Stream Media has labeled her as unintelligent. She's actually no idiot but what she is though is a gaslighting cancer on our country.

Take on Brittney Griner

What has happened to Brittney Griner is criminal. We all know that had this been Chris Paul or Devin Booker, we would have moved mountains to get them back but since it's a WNBA star we kind of forgot about her.

But finally there looks like a light at the end of the tunnel. The sad thing is the prisoner swap involves a dude named the Merchant of Death which sounds like an awful lot to give up for anybody.

Sorry Brittney, you may be in the gulag for a while longer

Saturday, May 14, 2022

Take on the Buffalo shooter

How many more people have to die?
How many more innocent people going about their day at the movies, at a supermarket or at school have to die before we actually do something. How an 18 year old blatant racist could get himself enough guns, ammo and other tactical gear is beyond me. What kind of background checks are we not doing??

Take on the Pence Plug

Nothing pisses me off more than all these people in Trump's inner non-family circle center who have come out and tried to whitewash their part in the four year mess.    All these guys on book tours sicken me especially the ones who had a chance to expose it in real time.   Mike Pence hasn't done his book tour yet but is doing his best to distance himself from his former boss in an effort to clear his name.   I'm all for second chances when it comes to addicts or people who have made mistakes but not at all for people like Pence who have profited mightily from their association with the orange penguin.

Take on Dr Oz

The idea that celebrities would make good politicians has to be an idea we realize by now is a terrible one, right? I don't know a thing about Dr Oz but believe him to be as doctory as Dr Feelgood or Dr Zhivago.

What. Others me more than his moving goalpost stances on issues is that the guy never blinks. I mean watch a ten minute interview and he will blink less than. 20 times. That's insane and has to prove he's certifiable.

Take on crazy Elon

Tesla keeps dropping like a rock and we are all starting to wonder if the Elon Musk purchase of Twitter will be affected. We know he's borrowing against his Tesla stock but with it dropping like 30% since his announced intentions, maybe this isn't exactly working out.

Which is why he's gone all in with bringing Trump back. There is some kind of poison pill in him trying to pull out of the Twitter deal which will cost him handsomely and it seems that he's trying to act just loony enough now for somebody else to give him a way out of the deal

Take on the Musky decision

The least surprising piece of news today was Elon Musk confirming that Papa Trump will get his Twitter account back. We all knew that was coming, so I'm far from angry. I do wonder where exactly Elon draws the line when it comes to Freedom of Speech -which by the way is a made up thing when it comes to private companies- and everything Trump will do when he's back

Trump has already used Twitter to stoke an insurrection. He's been untruthful, he's been libelous and he's been dangerous. We wouldn't give Mussolini this mode unchecked but somehow we feel Trump should.

Take on the study that says Severe COVID infection ages brain 20 years and can set back IQ by 10 points

A new study has come out that shows that a severe covid infection can age a brain by 20 years and lower an IQ by ten points and I finally figured out what has happened to our country.

Here's my new working hypothesis.

Maybe Trump wasn't the cause but the symptom. Covid was around about 10 years ago, we just didn't know it. People suffered from what we thought was strep or the flu but it was an earlier less deadly covid. Overall they got over it, it wasn't crazy and the death rate was minuscule but the long term effects were immense because as a nation we got dumber, a lot dumber

And there is no better proof that we elected Trump..No country in their right mind would do that..ever

Take on wacky Elon

Elon has been particularly wacky lately and his millions of minions love it. Whether it's a Twitter rant, a Twitter buy or a Twitter retweet, he's decided that the more cryptic the better for his brand
Today he added to the with this "if I die under mysterious circumstance" thread I can't say that this is interesting but it does show that he's warning papa Russia.

Saturday, May 7, 2022

Take on Miss Piggy

I'm shocked how quickly we allowed Ginny Thomas to get away with her pet in the insurrection and how we completely left her mute husband off the hook. Had this been Kagan or Sotomayor, Tucker would have stripped down to his giddy whities to face hump Hannity. They would be drooling at the prospects of a justice being seen as unfit and their drumbeat would have gotten louder by the second.

The left one the other hand just let's it go…and that is why we have a court at 6-3

Take on MTG’s feet

Marjorie Taylor Thomas Greene is a complete lunatic. She's treasonous, she's divisive, she's obnoxious and a complete Trump sycophant.

But what bothers me more about her is that she has feet like hands. There have been photos of her before on the beach where she has these sausage like nubs extruding like tentacles from her hooves dug into the sand but this week she was photographed with fellow traitor Michael Flynn in open toed shoes and it was worse than I'd ever imagined. The meat hooks on her feet are grotesque.

First of all she's wearing a size 5 when she should be wearing  a size 8 with those things popping out of everywhere. Then it looks like she's got some kind of fungus deeply rooted in at least three of her nine toes and lastly she's got such length on those stubs that she could likely peel fruit with them

MTG, please don't ever leave the house in open toed shoes again.

Take on Jen’s replacement

The White House is replacing the brilliant Jen Psaki and Peter Doocy must be very relieved. I do think he has enjoyed the back and forth banter and it does seem like he's for a bit of a ball gag kink to him, so I think he was sort of enjoying the constant abuse

I'm hoping Karine Jean-Pierre will pick up where Jen left off and continue to make Doocy look Douchy

Take on the Matt Gaetz hot take

Matt Gaetz has decided to make another idiotic stance to impress BoBo and Mother MTG Goose

His hot take goes something like this. Smart women who have big educations who can't get a date are spending their time protesting the upcoming Supreme Court decision while wallowing in their nuked lasagna

Odd take for a millennial who literally pays for sex and by the look of him has eaten his fair share of nuked lasagna

Tuesday, May 3, 2022

Take on the GOP judiciary committee

The House Judiciary committee's GOP faction decided to tweet out that abortion wasn't a word in the constitution which goes along the argument that Alito makes. The problem is that women also aren't mentioned in the constitution, slaves are and assault weapons aren't either. Tyranny seems to play a role in all of this but to think that your entire concept of freedom is dependent on what you believe a bunch of farmers tuned legislators knew what to expect 250 years later is clownish. When they lived in a world without cara, airplanes, turbines, medicine, HBO Max or cellphones is idiotic

Monday, May 2, 2022

Take on the leaked draft.

Fuck you Mississippi for being it to the Supreme Court
Fuck you Samuel Alito for your majority opinion
Fuck you Thomas for being an insurgent supporting fuck
Fuck you, Barrett, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch for your contrived settled law bullshit
Fuck you Susan Collins for being a spineless wench
Fuck you Mitch McConnell for your fucking bullshit Mitch rules
Fuck you Trump for fucking a bunch of prostitutes and paying for their abortions
Fuck Fred Trump and his wife for not having had one
Fuck Scalia for not dying earlier
Fuck RBG for not retiring and leaving it to chance
Fuck Mitch McConnell again for fucking his Mitch rules
Fuck this bullshit

Take on the two pillow guy

Mike Lindell got back on Twitter and immediately got booted off. I assume that is mainly because Musk hasn't yet taken over and when he does he will open the floodgates to the crazies.

Why I don't like about the both sides argument is that it implies that both are rational which, come on.

It's time to call a spade a spade and a nut job at a nut job
