Take on another 6-3 decision

The Supreme Court continues its weak of carnage with another whopper where they decided that the EPA cannot set National Energy policy which is odd being that they are the Environmental Protection Agency. This is what drives you nuts, the entire court is so partisan that there isn't a single consistency left in it. In some cases it's State's rights (abortion) in other cases states have no rights (guns). In some cases the federal government has the ability to regulate women's bodies in other's it cannot regulate our environment.

The damage Trump's 2016 election did will reverberate for decades.

Take on Rudy

Rudy hasn't had a good 24 hours..well in truth he hasn't had a good 25 months. His Miss Piggy looking son lost the GOP nomination to a guy whose name looks like a Led Zeppelin cover band, he was likely reminded of his Borat moment and then he tweeted out that the Jan 6th witness wasn't there for the pardon request he asked for but didn't ask for.

Somebody remind him he shouldn't be eating the hair dye.

Take on the Toddler in Chief.

Cassidy Hutchinson went under oath today and recounted a June report of incidents with then President Trump showing how completely unhinged he had become. It's gotten so bad that even FoxNews is forced to cover it and can't find a good way to cover up stories of Trump throwing plates against the walls, smearing poop on the walls and lunging at drivers when they won't go where he won't. Basically Trump had become a complete untethered toddler who was having one gigantic tempter tantrum and stunk half this country reveres his.

Take on the Surprise Witness

Rhwrebis a lot of chatter as to who will be the surprise witness tomorrow when the January 6th committee reconvenes. There is speculation that it could be Meadows, it could be Mo Brooks, it could be Ginni and someone has suggested it could be an inner circle Trumpet.

I'm guessing it will be underwhelming as any big time witness would have been leaked as the committee would want all eyes glued to the TV tomorrow.

But then again, maybe we will be surprised

Take on the assault of a senior citizen

Poor Rudy got accosted at a supermarket in otherwise friendly Staten Island and I think it's time to rethink the hard elbowed politics as a career for the old mayor. The news was all over the assault of the senior citizen who has given his life for the betterment of our country, one he served valiantly after the atrocities of 9/11. The Greatest Generation has nothing on the sacrifice he and his three wives and bucked tooth kid have made for us.

The assault, after further review was a bit more like a back pat, which I guess for a guy in Rudy's health could be dangerous in the sense that there was a high chance he was loaded and he could have tripped. Then again if he had an olive stuck in his throat, I'm not sure it was a hard enough slap to dislodge it.

Anyway, I'm almost 100% positive that he shows up tomorrow wearing one of those ridiculous neck braces

Take on the worst Justice

Every one of the six justices who voted to overturn Roe will live with the fact that they have taken right away from millions of women, rights covering their own bodies, rights instilled in not just law and constitution but in decency and morality. And one justice is going further, Clarence Thomas -from Anita Hill fame- will now go after gay marriage and contraception because apparently that is what a civilized society does..it moves backwards.

We didn't ask to be governed by bullshit Christian morals. We were promised a separation of church and state yet these fundamentalists continue to find vague scripture to justify ignorance and neo fascism.

Fuck you, Justice. I'm shocked you didn't go after interracial marriage also

Take on the overturning of Roe

We knew a few months ago that this day was coming when the brief was leaked but always held out a glimmer of hope that cooler heads would prevail and precedent upheld.

Today, when it became official that Roe would be overturned, we lost more than a court ruling. We lost the soul of our country. We lost the progress that women have fought for and have moved dangerously close to the dark ages.

We allowed a couple of white men to lie to us, tell us that they believe it was settled and move to overturn a right that has stood for half a century. And people like Susan Collins and Joe Manchin are to blame because nobody in their right mind would have trusted Gorsuch or Kavanaugh when they claimed they would uphold it.

Take on the Pardon request

We knew that January 6th was a black eye for America but not until the select committee has spent months probing it, did we learn how rotten this entire operation was from the inside. Nothing tells you more than the fact that the entire clown car asked Trump for pardons for their role in the insurrection. Nobody needs a pardon if they are innocent and nobody believes these clowns are anything but dead red guilty. Let the hands of justice strike down upon them with ferocious anger

Take on Rupert’s next divorce

Rupert Murdoch is giving Kim Kardashian a run for her money when it comes to divorces. The old fool is getting divorced for the fourth time and with a bit of luck and a lot of moneybags might be able to get divorced once more before he croaks.

I can't stand this narcissistic piece of garbage who has made his fortune on the back on embracing and giving a platform the low lives in politics.

Take on the great compromise

The first time in many people's lifetimes some actual legislation on gun safety has gotten over a major hurdle…total Republican opposition.    The vote today 64-34 would enhance background checks, make it more difficult for kids under 21 to obtain an assault style weapon and it will give red flag laws some more teeth.
None of this should be ground breaking but we've all come to understand that there is no chance for real reform in one step.   This will be a a long process, but at least we got step one done.

Take on the Uvalde chickens.

Here's a novel concept. A half dozen "good guys with guns" who were fully trained in crisis modes to help disarm potential shooters waited in the hallway while Keene art school kids were dying. They didn't go in although they had a bunch of AR15's, body armor and some badass shield but Mrs Klem the 72 year old fifth grade teacher will take out the next 18 year psycho who is armed to the gills while grading a reading assignment, finishing her apple and diving behind a desk.

Do you know how delusional and ludicrous that sounds??

Take on the Texas GOP

The Texas GOP has approved the kind of platform that the far right would not just accept but completely endorse. The official stance is now The Big Lie which is gone from fringe politics to a mainstream right wing talking point. I'm not sure what to expect moving forward but I'll say that there is no chance that this entire thing doesn't degenerate into unmitigated chaos

Take on the bike tumble

Biden tumbled off his bike which made headlines news as expected. The man is 79 which bothers all the people who will support Trump in 2024 which if he were to win would make him….79 in his first year.

The fact Biden exercises is great, the fact he gets out in the sun is great, the fact that he gets his foot stuck is..what happens to people who bike

Trump on the other hand likely can't bike

Take on the crazy old man.

Everybody knew there the entire basis behind The Big Lie was…..a big lie but somehow every person close to Trump decline the option to challenge the orange one and instead of pushing back they either supported these ridiculous efforts or stayed mum. This is why this is all so ludicrous when his cabinet, his lawyers, his formal and informal advisors all refuse to tell the old dementia ridden grandpa that grandma is no longer alive. But it isn't as if Trump didn't know better, he did but being branded a loser to Old Joe was something he refused to swallow.

Take on the Port Authority

And just like that the pandemic was over. I showed up at Oort authority today and it looked like a maze of people. There were lines intertwined, there were babies crying, women screaming, men drinking and nobody was moving. It was also hot and humid and as always the announcements that were being made were inaudible. This is how I remember Port Authority, but the last two years have been the opposite. It's been, shall I say it, pleasant. There aren't crazy lines, buses arrive regularly, sometimes they have somebody signing opera and overall it's not bad.

But not today..today we went back to February 2020 and it sucked

Take on NASCAR’s pride month

Nobody was more surprised that NASCAR was putting out a pride themed line of clothing than me and even more so that the publicized it on Twitter which you knew would bring some visceral reactions. Nobody should give a damn anymore and to see NASCAR come around has to be a huge milestone but the reactions from their fans were predictable
Lots of negativity as expected and a ton of "when can I get my "proud to be straight" shirt? To
Which is answer..by buying anything that has the NASCAR logo on it is basically a pro straight message.

Take on LIV

I haven't followed the LIV tour thing more than in passing but find the entire hoopla laughable. To think that we have to all walk away from this thing because it's Saudi money is a bit hypocritical when there are thousands of other businesses, markets, products etc that are all lining the pockets of the Kingdom. Human rights seems to be important today but nobody bothers with it when you are filling up the car or checking your 401K (don't do either this week by the way)

The idea that professional golf has always been on the right side of history is hysterical, when most of these fancy country clubs wouldn't allow black or female members and to this day are severely underrepresented in both categories

What is interesting is that the entire breakaway thing with Phil, Dustin and the rest of the boys are is that it's got a Hollywood Hogan NWO feel to it. They all dress in black, they all look awful and they will all make a billion dollars playing the heel

Take on a drunk and horny Rudy

Trump was taking advice from an apparently inebriated ex mayor of NYC and the world is starting to make sense again. What has also become damming is not just how many inter circle Trumpers now claim they thought this was all wacky doodle but how few of them actually said anything publicly while Trump was pushing The Big Lie.

But let's get back together Rudy, drunk and popped full of viagra stroking Trump with the misinformaruin that he wasn't a total loser.

Sunday, June 12, 2022

Take on Truth

Truth Social is banning members for talking about January 6th proving again that their idea of free speech goes as far as Dear Leader's 5 hole. Trump is such a sensitive turd that he can't even get out of his own social network way.
Time for Elon to offer to buy it and sink it for good

Saturday, June 11, 2022

Take on Pence

Mike Pence can't quit Trump. He tries, he does funny things and he stands up weekly but the. He always come back with his mouth open and his eyes shut. This is the man who deceived us all with his "I'm a Christian first and an American second" which is utter bullshit. He's a coward first and an ass kisser second

Friday, June 10, 2022

Take on Trump’s Ivanka’s take

Trump went all in on Truth Social to try to discredit the work that the January 6th committee has presented. It was obvious that he'd go after Big Bill
Barr and he'll have no issue throwing Sidney Powell or Rudy under the bus but we were mostly interested to see how he would react to his daughter.
He admitted that she'd checked out and claimed she had no prior knowledge of results which is funny considering after 2016, for months the entire world was fawning over Jarred and his ability to have worked the election in Trump's favor by micro targeting using Facebook, so we find it hard to believe that they knew nothing this time around

Thursday, June 9, 2022

Take on MTG

MTG had another MTG moment when she seemed to have confused flagrantly and fragrantly which could be an innocent mistake but likely was her just admitting she doesn't wear deodorant. Just looking at her makes me want to spray a bunch of aerosol in her general direction as she always looks like she smells like wet cheese baking in the sun

Wednesday, June 8, 2022

Take on the spineless turtle

The spineless turtle wants the democrats to pass a Supreme Court security bill which I'm fine with after some deranged lunatic showed up at Brett Kavanaugh's home.

It also brought to light (again) that guns are too readily available and are too easily put into the hands of people not mature enough to handle them. They are also too often made available to people who have mental issues.

So maybe Mitch should go a step further and protect the rest of us like he wants to rightfully prettiest Kavanaugh

Tuesday, June 7, 2022

Take on the FoxNews decision

Nothing is more chickenshit than FoxNews' decision to cow to their "talent" and not cover the insurrection hearings knowing their top hosts will likely be shown to have been implicit in it. This is the same organization that spent 1000 hours on Benghazi but now have no stomach for covering anything other than the next caravan from Mexico

They are likely happy that the January 6th hearings will take Uvalde off the front page

Monday, June 6, 2022

Take on Wimpy Kyle

Poor Kyle Rittenhouse, he's saddened because his high school career was robbed from him for killing a few people at a protest against police brutality a few years ago. We feel for him, I mean he's just a kid with a gun looking to kill people and now Texas A&M won't let him in and he's instead going to community college

Sunday, June 5, 2022

Take on a bloody weekend.

Another weekend. Another weekend of gunfire.

Between a South Carolina graduation party, the Philadelphia shooting and a shooting in Chattanooga, it was another bloody weekend and our Congress does not have the stomach to actually do something about it. I'm wondering why we keep repeating the same story, why we are ok with living in a society where gun deaths are accepted. It comes down to gun rights superseding human rights for the GOP

I'm not sure what we should do about this

Saturday, June 4, 2022

Take on the GOP strategy

The GOP's answer to Uvalde was to run out the clock. They know they have blood on their hands but also know the American attention span is like that of a fruit fly and as long as they can work to change the dialogue it doesn't matter.
They have spent the entirety of my adult life running from their responsibly and we are letting them get away with it

Friday, June 3, 2022

Take on Ronny DeSantis

Ron DeSantis decided that he would attack the Rats for their tweets about gun reform. This is typical of republicans, wanting a private company to cave to their threats purely because they don't agree with their philosophy. But Ronnie was especially lame here because the Rays tweets were basically apolitical but any MAGA moron has decided that any deviation from the MAGA world is punishable by death.

Thursday, June 2, 2022

Take on Biden’s big sack

Biden grabbed his sack today and did what we've been waiting on him to do..start making a move to curb the gun violence in our country. He called for a reinstatement of the assault weapon ban from 1994 and finally we have some leadership on this. We've been at the mercy of the GOPNRA for too long and we need to take back our decency.

This could be Biden's most important moment

Wednesday, June 1, 2022

Take on Abbott’s newest initiative

Texas Governor Abbott's new initiative to stop school shootings are more active shooter drills, this time suggesting they include in person unannounced random intruders. Thia is like telling kids that instead of a fire drill we will actually put a small fire in the school building so that you can really feel the burn and make sure yuu get out of that building super quickly.

It's so impossibly hard for this jackass to address the most obvious part, the common denominator to the entire thing, the one thing that actually could change our country's future.

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
