Take on Madison Cawthorn

Madison Cawthorn has always been a weird dude. He beats up dead trees. He hangs with Matt Gaetz, he has the oddest signature l've ever seen but nothing floors you more than his very obvious daddy issues. I have no idea what his history is but Cawthorn went out of his way to suck on Trump's stubby thumb praising the orange pile of dog doo for being the father he never had and feeling so blessed that, unlike Eric, Trump talks to him almost every day.

If getting a daily call from Trump to hear him likely bitch about all the same lame gripes is the highlight of your week maybe it's time you get out and beat up a tree

Take on Joe Rogan

I can't think of anything I'd want to do less than listen to Joe Rogan. I've had opportunities..his podcast is often recommended by the Apple Podcast app since it's so popular but I can't say I have any desire to listen to a fat middle aged white dude complain which is really my own speciality.

The issue is this entire thing with Spotify does one thing… or actually emboldens him..and in ten years he'll likely be considered a media darling after going through his own Howard Stern transformation. Although I don't think Rogan is anywhere as clever or Interesting, one thing that Stern proves is that a bunch of people complaining about his content doesn't deter him, it emboldens him.

Take on the old dirty whine dog

Trump at one of his on his little rally things. During it, he was ranting and raving and huffing and puffing. He finally got to the crescendo where he complained that "they wanna put me in jail" which is actually true mostly because he has been a long term criminal and has somehow avoided any repercussions. He's skated for so long that we have to think of ways that he can actually be forced to live with the consequences for his actions.

But we all know he won't ever see justice. He'll likely be elected again

Take on the snow bomb

A huge snow bomb is about to hit our area and like usual I'm predicting this to be a major overhyped disappointment. I've long suspected Big Grocery HS been behind these dire storm watches and precut today will be very much the same but it does sort of beg the question of what the hell I'm going to do with five cases of bottled water, sixteen boxes of pasta and more bread than I can possibly consume in a month.

Take on Nalin’ Palin.

Sarah Palin is in NY for her defamation lawsuit against the Times which has been delayed as she fights a wicked case of Covid. But a little runny nose or set of inflamed lungs will keep John McCain's worst nightmare down. She decided to spend the week dining out in some of our finest restaurants even though she shedding virus like she sheds braincells.
But the man won't keep her down, her man on the other hand always seems to have issues keeping himself down. Anyway, let's hope she doesn't end up on a respirator, that would be way too good for her.

Take on dirty Matt

Matt Gaetz is one weird dude. Not only does he dress like he has no light on his closet, he seems to get his rocks off with underage kids. He's got that weird relationship with the pool boy which never seemed right and now we've been finding out that he's obviously into younger girls also. The most disturbing part of this story was that when his buddy told Matt that the girl they've been paying to have sex with the was only 16, that they should stop until she turned 18.
The prostitution meant nothing to them. It was purely getting caught with a 16 year old

Take on the the HOF sham

So somehow David Ortiz snuck into the hall fora me although he's been a suspected steroid user for ever. I'm sick and tired of the double standard in baseball Yeah, Bonds and Big Mac and Sosa were cheats but so where a hundred other guys and they have decided to turn a blind eye to any guy who wasn't named in those initial balco suits.

I can't stand Bond or Clemens or any of those guys but to deny that they are generational talents is being shortsighted. We know they injected themselves in the five hole with tons of PED's but if we are going to be honest so did Ortiz and likely dozens of others

Monday, January 24, 2022

Take on the Doocy

The news cycle was dominated today because Biden called Peter Doocy a stupid son of a bitch which is probably kind for what most people say about Doocy in private. Peter Doocy has proven to be on of the least likable characters in the saga but he does play an important role, the one who gets constantly body slammed by Jenn Psaki.
Anyway, he's a big boy and got to get tons of airtime today, so this worked out for everybody

Sunday, January 23, 2022

Take on John Stockton

John Stockton is one of those athletes I alway respected. He played the game the right way, he stuck it out with one team and he made sure he let one of his balls dangle free for the entire world to see every game. But when I find out the guy is some anti vaccine wacko, I'm done. This clown claims that over 100 professional athletes have died because of the vaccine when the number is, I believe, 0. I do think it's easy to mix those numbers up but thought to be fair. It's like somebody said to him, you had 100 championships in your career which is kind of the same as the amount he actually won

Saturday, January 22, 2022

Take on the anti vaxer

I'm so sick and tired of seeing headlines of people
I like being anti vaxers. It's like when somebody dies of lung cancer, the fist thing that goes through my head is "were they a smoker". The second I find out they were, my empathy level drops. This is exactly how I feel about anti everythingers and covid deaths.

I don't think there we're many other things that years ago would so quickly turn me off to somebody I otherwise would respect or like. . I'm not talking being a blatant racist or having some weird fetish but something that is sort of mainstream. The only thing close would be a Trump supporter although that and an antivaxer is basically two overlapping circles.

Take on mask mandate Karen

Some crazy white chick showed up to a board of Ed meeting and threatened to bring every loaded weapon she could get her hands on to school on Monday if a mask mandate was approved. This is how crazy our society has become, a society with an incredible school shooting problem has wackos threading to shoot up a school for trying to take precautions to keep schools open.

She should be jailed but I guarantee half this country will call her a hero for this…because half this country is also willing to buy into Trump.
This woman should be charged for the terroristic threats she made not be made a martyr for the crazies

Take on the end of crypto

The Bank of Russia is seeking a total ban of crypto mining and trading and for once in my life, I agree with Putin. I don't have any idea how to mine anything, let alone crypto but I do know it takes gigantic amount of energy and that comes at a gigantic cost to our planet. This is exactly where Elon Musk has been the biggest hypocrite, he claims to be all in on clean energy and protecting the earth yet there is no bigger crypto hawk than him. Every original white paper stated that crypto was about stability and not allowing for artificial manipulation but it's anything but that. It's a completely manipulated and unstable currency, it's not used for any real transactions other than for some
Illicit dark web stuff and it has it has not added anything to the greater good.

Let's ban this entire concept and go back to normal hard currency

Take on the gutless GoP

We always knew the GOP was never going to let the voting rights bill come to see the light of day but the fact they found T even get a single Senator to vote yes shows how united they are to keeping the status quo.
It's not even disappointing as the expectations their constituents have of them is to keep them in power

I'm not sure how you can get a Supreme Court nominee passed with 51 votes but yuu can't get basics legislation passed with less than 60. Somebody please clarify that for me

Take on white butt hurt

As a white man there is nothing I hate more than my fellow whitefolk getting their panties in a bunch because we may at some point have to realize that American history isn't just white American history. But if the crazies get their way, they will basically convince every place that making white people uncomfortable is in itself a crime.

How about we pass one bills that don't allow minorities to feel uncomfortable? Like maybe when a bunch of white people act like a bunch of mindless racists around them, the white people should be prosecuted.

Take on mental health

Reading the story over the weekend of some deranged homeless person shoving some innocent woman in front of train reminds me again that we don't have a homeless problem as much as we have a mental health one. There is just. I reason why in civilized society we are ok with a guy pissing himself while screaming about the next Jerusalem should be walking the streets. Homelessness is not poverty, they are two completely distinct issues but they get convoluted. What you are in the NYC homeless population is schizophrenia and drug addiction which tells you that vast majority of NYC homeless should not be walking the streets but instead institutionalized. This would also make the shelters safer and better controlled.

Time to step up Mayor and do the right thing

Take on Ronny D

Ron DeSantis might very well be the Republican nominee in a few years and it's already irking Trump. At this point it's petty obvious that there is nobody who can challenge Trump and come out unscathed but Ronny D is going to give it a shot.
The problem with DeSantis is that he's Trump lite..well not that light. He's a slob, dresses like he doesn't own a mirror. Wears brown shoes with a black belt, gets his haircuts at the mall and looks like he hasn't ever seen a naked woman that he hasn't paid for. In short, Donald vs Ronald could be a bloodbath.

If he has any hope, he's going to have to fake a personality because if you thought Jeb! was dry wait till we get wall to wall Ron.

The on the dumbest Americans.

Nothing screams midwestern moron more than holding up an Olive Garden chanting USA USA because they made you show a vaccine card. It seems the Venn diagram for anti vaxxers and ones who like shitty Italian food is a perfect circle

The idea that a private business can't demand you follow their rules which by the way are completely sensible shows how completely insane these people are.

I'd be out there protesting if somebody made me eat at Olive Garden, that place seems like the buffet they offer you before you enter the gates of hell.

Take on the guy who claims it’s not that cold

We've been waiting for a good winter storm and apparently Izzy is on its way. God knows if it will live up to the hype but we are expected to get windchills reaching -42 in Vermont this weekend. What I have to say is the best part is watching some jackass tomorrow run around in his T-shirt and shorts claiming it isn't cold. This ritual of stupidity ranks you there as tops in the business. Same idea as the jackasses who do the polar plunge

Take on the oath keepers

Show us a sedition charge they said
Show us a single court case against somebody trying to overthrow our government
Show us that this wasn't a peaceful protest

Ok.. here we go. Today the justice department went after the Oath Keepers which I always thought was an underground man sex group but apparently they are Nazis. I'm so sick of living in a country where these idiots even get the air to breath let along a platform on something as vile as the Tucker Carlson show

Take on speedy Don

Stormy Daniels called Trump a two pump chump a while ago and it seems NPR is going to be saying the name thing. Trump finally sat down for a radio interview but when the topic went to the fact he's a complete and utter unbearable imbecile, he hung up. I can't imagine what the heck happened to this country to ever think this guy had the mental makeup to do this but he's one of those people that the more you know, the less impressed you are.

TaKe on Itchy Mitch

I can't believe we live in a country where a senior member of a major political party and its most recent senator majority leader needs a pat on the back for reporting the facts of an election from a year ago. Mitch McConnell went out to say Biden win which is like announcing we landed on the moon at this point but somehow this is newsworthy because we live in a country full of crazies. We think it's time to consider needing some kind of an IQ test to vote

Take on the death of Limp Bizkit

When I saw Limp Bizkit trending I knew something good was coming out of this. If there are two things that band did was it ruined something as wholesome as the red baseball cap and then they ruined the good Durst name. Robert Durst, unlike his nephew Fred, has actually accomplished things like getting away with a couple of murders and a big TV show.

Take on the informal cabinet

It's no surprise to anybody that Trump was in direct contact with the entire FoxNews evening crew and that they were giving one another marching orders. No TV channel has ever been more influential than FoxNews when they regularly appealed to an audience of one. What made that entire thing so nuts is that although they were speaking to only Trump, the millions of Trumpets were happy to tune in every night hoping they could somehow feel a little closer to Trump himself

Hannity being the top advisor is no surprise as he's likely smarter than Trump and Lou Dobbs despite his ancient breath is definitely smarter than him but the fact that he called on Judge Jeanine is just embarrassing for everybody being that she's fall down drunk every night

Saturday, January 8, 2022

Take on the end

The case count is now over 600,000 people per day. The total cases in our country is now 60,000,000 and the this point it seems everybody is just giving up. People are sick of quarantines, isolations, lock downs, school closings etc and I'm with them but also realize that hospitals are understaffed and we need to protect the most vulnerable.
But it does seem like we are giving up. We've come to accept the deaths, hospitalizations and strain on our healthcare systems. We don't worry about what it says about us anymore. The CDC cut the quarantine times because I think they realize we are trying to build a sandcastle at the edge of the surf. Right now a herd immunity actually might be the only saving grace because social distancing and mask wearing is so yesterday.

Take on the mayor

Eric Adam's' first week as mayor hasn't been without some controversy but the biggest so far is that he decided to make his little brother a deputy NYPD commissioner. God know if little Eric is even borderline qualified or if he's the next Jimmy Smits but it doesn't matter have to think that this cannot possibly be the look he's going for in his first week on the job.
So stop acting like a miniature Trump and just out your head down and get to work.

Thursday, January 6, 2022

Take on spineless Mitch

Another day, another spineless performance by Mitch. McConnell who HS been getting destroyed by Trump could have shown some guts today by actually being a leader but instead he did what he always does…tuck his head back into his shell. There is nothing in the history of the United States which will go down as a bigger failure of leadership than what Mitch and his buddy Kevin have done..or not done…during the Rule of Trump.

Let's give up on trying to make this thing work with the other side and replace these career criminals with a few of the GOPers who aren't morally corrupt.

Wednesday, January 5, 2022

Take on the voter fraud cases

Maybe Trump was right…there apparently was rampant voter fraud in last year's elections with people voting multiple times and countless other discrepancies. The problem for Trump is that every one of these voter fraud cases involved somebody voting for Trump. This was exposed again today for the fourth time in The Villages which has always sounded like the biggest absolute hellhole
Like most things that come out of his mouth, most of what he accuses others of is just an admission of his own guilt. He's really a pretty simple man

Tuesday, January 4, 2022

Take on the end of the BlackBerry

I loved my BlackBerry. It did everything I could have ever imagined and more. The keyboard was excellent, it worked everywhere, it had that one video game and BBM was amazing although I can't remember why.

So the news that the operating system will no longer be supported hits hard although I haven't owned one in a decade and would likely never have owned one again. What it does tell you is how indispensable something seems until it is completely dispensable.

Monday, January 3, 2022

Take on the individual mask decision

Saw somebody post their three reasons for masking in public and I agree with all three…humility, kindness and community. Anybody with a good moral compass would do this for the humility part to stop the spread , anybody with a good heart would do it for the kindness part knowing it's protecting others which is maybe most important and anybody with a strong civic call would do it for the community part.

But I do it for a fourth also, I really don't want anybody to think I'm some kind of MAGA moron

Take on the suspension everybody saw coming

Ding Dong, the witch is dead

Or at least Marjorie Taylor Greene's account has been suspended. I have no idea how long the suspension will be but doubt she'll see it as anything other than some bullshit martyrdom. This is the real problem with these people, they have been told by so many that not only can they do no wrong, their "mission" is somehow divine. She's an awful human, shows no compassion or class yet claims to be a Christian without upholding a single value she should espouse

Take on the 50,000 case number in NYC

NYC is once again the epicenter of the covid spike, this time with the city reporting nearly 50,000 new cases today. A few months ago when things had quieted down, I would have bet that with mass vaccinations, we were starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course that light seems to be a train running right into us with people all around us falling ill.
What doesn't make total sense is that the last report was that omicron was becoming the dominate strain but still only accounted for 59% of the cases. With the only two strains you hear anything about being omicron and delta that indicates that there leaves about 41% for Delta.

The question to me is, how the heck are we seeing nearly 20,000 cases of Delta right now with all the vaccinations and precautions because of the fear of omicron? At the height of Delta we were at like 6000 cases in NYC. Something tells me that Delta has mutated itself and has become a lot more powerful. It's impossible to think that Delta has itself become that much more contagious without something having changed
