Take on the odd Covid analysis is

For the first time in what seems like forever, Covid cases in the US declines. We've been on a nice trajectory with a 40% decrease in cases since January 8th. The oddity of this seems to be that with the winter months and places continuing indoor dining that we've been promised a surge. I'm guessing the combo of vaccinations and the fact that there is some natural immunity from people who have gotten sick is the main thing here. The one thing I'm shocked at though is that for every Super Spreader event we have been warned against and every state that seems to flout any reasonable suggestion, those red states really haven't done any worse than the blue ones.
It seems Florida hasn't been the slaughterhouse we thought and that somehow places like NY and NJ are not all that different than Mississippi and Texas on a per capita basis.

Take on the Trump attorneys

Trump's impeachment team keeps falling apart with a total of 5 attorneys having left with just a couple of weeks left. The Twitterverse is going crazy with the news but we see it differently

We already know that there will not be be 17 Republicans who will cross lines, so they can bring Johny Cochran and Kim Karsashian's dad or they can bring Rudy and four goats and the results will be the same

Trump has always been cheap, why would he want to spend big money on attorneys -even if he will likely never pay them- when the result is in the bag

Take on the QAnon horned guy

The weird QAnon guy who showed up at the insurrection a few weeks go wearing the furry Davy Crockett hat and the face paint has turned against his Deal Leader. Jacob Chaney is now willing to testify against Trump because he's kissed he didn't get a pardon. This guys is kind of like The Naked Cowboy in that he both looks like and act like Kid Rock. They also both don't wear enough clothes and are beloved by guys from Ohio. They have also both made a names for themselves as Trump FanBoys
Anyway, I'm guessing this guy hasn't fallen out of love with Trump and is actually hoping to get up on in front of congress and instead of implicating Trump, using the forum to talk about satanic child touchers...which ironically makes me think of The Naked Cowboy.

TaKe on the GameStop revolution

The world has gone coo-coo for GameStop, a place I have literally never walked into. I get the appeal to either driving up a stock to get rich overnight or better yet to blow up entire hedge-funds and it would only work with a place like GameStop which is a bit of a household name. What is great is that those same nerds are propping up AMC, Blockbuster and BlackBerry. I'm hoping for Chucky Cheese and that place in the airport that sells those pretzel things

Take on Marjorie Taylor Greene

I am not quite sure how to pronounce Marjorie Taylor Green's first name but it looks weirdly Dutch.  What is more troubling is her face, the woman looks like that droopy dog https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droopy#/media/File%3ADroopy_dog.png  from the Looney Tunes   She's for this gigantic forehead and this jaw line which looks like that of a grizzly and those super sleepy eyes.  I  can't tell if I'm more disgusted by her looks or her politics.

Take on the Fauci salary

I just read that Dr. Fauci is the highest paid employee by the federal government making more than $400,000 per year and it seems he's a bargain. I always wonder how we can possibly get the best people in any level of government if we aren't paying anywhere near market value.
Dr Fauci is grossly underpaid in the larger picture when you have to consider what he could make on the open market. Unlike senators who often find ways to enrich themselves may past their salaried positions, it doesn't seem like public servants are quite as evenly paid as their private counterparts whether they are DA's, teachers or Dr Antony F'n Fauci

Take on the Extended Warranty Ribo calls

Biden. Igor have signed a Bill allowing the transgender people to serve in the military again and he's working on a big Covid relief bill but it's time for him to I spend some time on figuring out why I'm getting five calls per day offering an extended warranty on my car

I'm thinking this thing has some sinister motives, like Big Brother is tracking us after we toggle off location services on our phones. They call you and the act of answering it gives Verizon a sense of where you are even when you've opted our of all the location trackers on your apps

Or maybe it's something else

A year ago I was getting random messages in Chinese which were probably warning me of the coming Covid crisis...which may mean my car is about to break down

Take on Dr Birx sudden change of heart

Dr Birx had a change of heart and today tried to distance herself from the Trump administration. She also made startling accusations says that Trump presented the public with graphs she never made.

This is likely true but her coming up with this only when he is lying on a beach like a dead whale really isn't helpful. She's obviously angling for a tell all book but she could have done a lot more to protect the 400,000+ Americans who died

And if. Irving else she could have gotten rid of those terrible Mrs Rooer scarves

Take on the Rolex controversy

All the talk this weekend wasn't over a new pandemic relief bill or the rejoining of the WHO and the Paris Climate Accords but instead about Joe Biden's watch. I'm not quite sure how this is news at all, he's a guy in his 70's holding the most important job in the world and he has good taste in watches. I get that it doesn't make him look like the Everyman, but when you are the president you are sort of not the every man by default. We can all spend our money on whatever we hope to, I wouldn't personally spend $8600 on a watch but I also stuff the Daily News in my puffy Jets jacket.
Time to focus on policy...or question why he isn't playing golf this weekend.

Take on the impeachment battle

As Biden enters his first weekend, the impeachment trial of his predecessor looms large. I have no faith that they will come anywhere close to a conviction as getting 17 republicans on board seems like in insurmountable task. What this will do is give a few of the loudmouth Trumpets like Lindsey and Ted and Josh a chance to kiss Trump's ass a bit more before giving way to Susan Collins to contemplate and eventually figure that she'll vote along with the boys figuring he's learned his lesson

He should get the trial I guess but it's a no win game for the democrats as they will stomp on Biden's ability to get things done with no chance of any kind of resolution.

It will though give Murkowski, Sasse, Romney and Toomey a chance to show the country they have backbones.

Take on the Biden workweek

Hannity went after Biden for what he dubbed a disastrous week. We knew this was coming but even for Hannity this is a bit much. This segment went on air like 35 hours after Biden was inaugurated. Our of that time he slept for 8 hours, watched the fireworks for an hour, listed to the terrible Bon Jovi rendition of a Beatles song, ate dinner and breakfast and lunch and probably dropped a deuce. I figure Biden did about 15 hours of work but somehow Hannity turned Biden into Jesus, able to turn a mere 36 hours into a complete week

Maybe it's a reference to the fact that Biden's predecessor would only put in as our 10-15 hours of real work per week, so if judged on the Trump circle, Biden is well into week two now.

The New York Times - Breaking News, US News, World News and Videos

I didn't expect today to be an emotional day...sort of sat on the edge of my seat hoping nothing bad would happened but when I got home I sort of lost it. Today reminded me of why I love my country, why the ideals set forth by our forefathers have meaning, why we do what we do as Americans and hope that with Joe Biden we can come back to a place with more civility and humanity with a leader who is not afraid to show humility

Biden might be the ordered president for this moment. He has the temperament, the heart and the will to fight for what our county needs. But what I've always been most impressed with Biden is that unlike these televangelist politicians, he doesn't use his faith as some kind of veiled idealism and doesn't use it to cloak some sinister motive. A man who has lost so much is the president we need today....we just have to hope that the rest of the country is willing to listen

Take on the final flight.

The official schedule for Trump for was released do tomorrow and it says just one thing "The President and The First Lady will depart the White House at 8:00am for Palm Beach Florida". It has to take them at least 30 minutes to get to Andrew Airforce bare and another 20 minutes to get onto Air Force One and the it should be a couple of hours on the flight. Add some taxiing and maybe some turbulence and by the time they touch down in Florida they will not longer be anything other than ordinary citizens and I'm hoping Cy Vance is waiting at the terminal for them

Take on the new GOP

Ran Paul opened his mouth today and the entire country got sort of turned on.
Pubic hair head said that if Trump is convicted it would destroy the GOP which sounds like something everybody can get behind
I'm no conservative but can understand smaller government, religious freedom, tax breaks, second amendment rights and even pro life stances. I don't agree with much of it but back about - decade ago you could have a sensible adult conversation. Today the entire party is talking about stolen elections, deep state and have embraced a Vladdy.

Today's GOP has been hijacked by Trump and the defenders of the traditional party are people like Itch McConnell and Ted Bundy Cruz, you don't have much left to work with.

It's time for a breakup of the GOP. Break it into two fractions. The Lincoln Project group on one side headed by Romney and the Trumpets on the other side headed by the Pillow Guy and Scott Baio

Take on the shady pardons

Be prepared for a whirlwind of pardons over the next few days as Trump will sell them to the highest bidder or auction them off for favors in the future. Of course the biggest question will be if he pardons his family -although it would be funny if he left Eric hanging- but there will undoubtably be dozens of very questionable pardons.
The entire ability to pardon is against everything else we hold dear in our country which is never more apparent then that the vast majority of them happen in the 11th hour.

We have to get rid of these things

Take on the first day

Day 1 of the Biden presidency will be a busy one and will be more than just pomp and circumstance. He will immediately reverse a bunch of Trump era executive orders and hopefully bring some credibility back to our fine nation
The Paris Accords is a great first start, the rescinding of the Muslim ban is vitally important, reuniting families at the border is life and death and pandemic work is crucial

We hope he will have time to wash the sheets off of the Trump stain and wonder if a new president gets a new mattress because otherwise the one they are inheriting could easily be stained yellow...question is if it's stained because of Trump's fetishes or his incontinence..or both

Screenshot 2021-01-15 at 10.18.59 PM

Trump
Spent his last Friday in the White House holding court with the My Pillow Guy who has always looked like a walking sex offender.

Photographers captured notes that the pillow guy was bringing with him which included a bunch of wackadoodle ideas like installing a Devin Nunes crony to head the CIA three days before Trump leave the White House.
Glad to finally hear about one of these meetings he's apparently having every day along with the many phone sales he's making

Take on the weird Trump toilet thing

The poor guys and gals watching over the safety of Ivanka and Jared weren't allowed in the house to use the potty, so they were forced to go over to Obama's place who would let them in and give them a copy of Sports Illustrated and some prune juice.
This is the weird thing with the Trumps...they all have weird bathroom things

Donald uses gold plated ones for himself but prefers his Russian lady friends to use his stomach when they go because he's a weirdo
Melania refused to use the ones used by Michelle Obama because she's a racist birther pig
Ivanka refused to let secret service use one of her 6.5 bathrooms because she believes people are below her highness.
Eric is still learning to not pee on the seat
Lara looks like she lifts the seat to pee
Junior can't control his bowels after one too many trips to the Coke machine
His girlfriend looks like she's so constipated it bloated her face.

Take on Rudy getting stiffed

As Trump was impeached for a second time, a story emerged in the Washington Post that Trump was ready to stiff Rudy for his "legal services". This, of course, is par for the course with Trump he stiffs everybody but it would be fantastic if he does it to Rudy mostly because Rudy sucks and seeing him have to grovel for his money wound be great but more importantly because there are plenty of rumors that Rudy has the goods on Trump which he'll release as soon as Trump turns on him. And those could be juicy.

Take on the return of Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck appeared from the bunker to come out to compare Twitter (a private company) banning Trump for inciting violence to the Holocaust which is an interesting take when you are trying to get attention.
What was more striking is that Beck looks like a hermit who hasn't come out to see daylight in months. Not sure who you'd less like to see at a swingers party out of these two.

Take on America’s two congressmen

There really aren't two more despicable humans than Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan, two complete opportunistic masochists who have given their souls to have the opportunity to get stroked by Trump

They are also two of the weirdest looking people. Gaetz has one of largest heads I've ever seen, I mean the guy must wear a size 8 baseball cap. He has these beady eyes, this gigantic forehead and a smile of the kind of guy who lies to see his wife with another man. Luckily for Matt, Jim Jordan isn't into other people's wives, he prefers to take off his cheap sport coat and not see wrestlers being molested in a shower

These two are prime examples of what is wrong with America.

Take on the fringe

Years ago you'd walk into Union Square and see one crazy guy tell you 9/11 was an inside job. The guy was certifiably insane and was almost seen as a carnival act.

Today you have 40 million people saying the election was rigged. These aren't weird homeless people or guys with CB radios in their basement, these are our neighbors, teachers in our schools, nurses and doctors.

What the hell happened? It's like they all bought into this idea that they are working for a higher good for a guy who doesn't value them for anything other than a customer to his brand.

Guys like McConnel and Gaetz and Jr Are guys I can sort of get. They are just opportunistic scum they see this as a means to an end. Ways to fundraiser or make a name for themselves. But the average guy who works as a plumber decides to drive 10 hours to storm the capital? What the hell happened to this country??

The fringe isn't some weird group of outcasts anymore, it's every 6th person or something who is now convinced Hugo Chavez rigged an election, pizza places double as sex ring houses and sedition is patriotic.

Take on the takedown of Parler

The poor people over at Parler will have no place to spew their hate for a week as they may go dark after Amazon pulls the plug on their hosting. This will mean that Trump and Sean and Tucker and Ted and Devin and Jr will be screaming at each other over their cell phones. Maybe we can get them one of those party lines. Charge them $3.99 a minute and watch the hilarity ensue

My biggest issue is that without a media outlet, Trump is going to have to find an alternative outlet for his impulses and he may decide to bomb The Netherlands or something

Friday, January 8, 2021

Take on the Twitter ban

Twitter took entirely too long to finally suspend and then ban Trump after he spent the last four years going from crazy to absolutely ludicrous in his behavior and went from starting small fires to fanning flames and finally to dropping an A Bomb onto DC

It will allow me to go onto Twitter and not have that visceral feeling of anger every time I saw one of his insane tweets

But finally..it's over.

Till he shows up as TheRealRealDonaldTrump tomorrow.

Take on the Betsy DeVos resignation

Fall me cynical but the reason these people are resigning their cabinet level positions is so that they avoid having to partake in a 25th amendment removal. They have watched, applauded and allowed Trump to destroy this country and are just afraid of the fallout from his supporters so have decided resignation is a safer spot than having to go on the record

Chickens all of them

Take on America’s darkest day

I've been busy at work all day so not sure if there is much to cover...

The day after the Democrats took the senate, Trump implores his followers to take The Capitol and these psychos take him up and try to break down the institutions of democracy both figuratively and literally.

There is talk that Pence is convening the cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment which is typical for a snake like him.  He -and the entire cabinet- are complicit in this...they allowed it.   They don't get to call an audible down 46-0 and score a meaningless field goal and call it a victory.

Colin Kaepernick protested police brutality by quietly kneeling and the same psychos who breached our government to overthrow a democratic election killed him for it and forced him our of his career.    This is not a mature democracy, this is a banana republic

Sickening

Take on the Trump’s last legacy

During an unprecedented time where any excess crowding seems like it can incessant spread the virus. As is typical with Trump, a small Covid spread isn't enough for him, he's hoping to turn it into a superspreader event by advertising Big Crowds . It's like when the Yankees are trying to fill the stadium in august by offering an A-Rod bobble head, instead Trumo will give you commemorative Covid.

I know he doesn't care about our country or about it's citizens bur basically inviting them to walk into a took to play Russian roulette seems more than a bit idiotic

Take on the Georgia runoff rally

Trump went down to Georgia to try to rally support for Kelly and the Chicken but as expected spent the entire rally talking about himself. Of course this isn't news and the fact that they signed a deal with the devil was always obvious nut was is abundantly clear is that the devil will reneg on his part of the deal after tomorrow

Anyway, Trump so badly wants to go back in time he had his rally finish with a Lock Her Up chant. Our president is still trying to win the 2016 election

I wonder if Biden will have color coded maps he will hand out to visitors to the Oval Office showing his victory

Sunday, January 3, 2021

Take on the phone call

Trump was caught red handed today doing the thing he always does...accuse others of the criminal acts he does himself. This was supposedly the reason to hire him, because a guy who has taken advantage of every loophole could fix it. Instead we got a guy who found every loophole snd wedged his fat ass through it. We've lived through four years of one criminal act after another.

Okay this on the senate floor on the 6th

Saturday, January 2, 2021

Take on Ted and his gutless move

Ted Cruz is putting his already battered reputation on the line to defend Trump again. It's insane that a guy who might have hopes for higher office hasn't tried to wipe the stain of Trump off of him knowing he's basically reserving an ocean view room on the Titanic.
But here he will join 140 Republican Congressmen and a dozen or so senators to object to verify the electoral college meaning that we could be looking at a president Pelosi.

Somehow I don't think they like the sound of that

Friday, January 1, 2021

Take on the slow vaccination process

I've been impressed with almost everything about a Operation Warp Speed which seemed to have been the perfect blend of private public enterprise. I didn't like the fact that Trump could have gotten us a lot kore of the Phizer vaccine at no risk but declined but the fact that this entire thing wasfast tracked to start injecting people within a year of the virus first hitting our radars is impressive
Bur the last mile seems to be a typical cluster mess. Every step along the way had logistical problems but none of them seem to be anything like the fact that asking an already overwhelmed health sector to now administer millions of doses was something they didn't think about. I kept hearing that the military would be intimately involved in distribution but haven't seen that

Let's just hope January hits less roadblocks
