Take on Big Chris

I'm quite enjoying the Trump vs Christie thing mostly because Christie is willing to go low and hit back and unlike his other GOP contemporaries, he's not trying to win over the Trumpets. Trump has taken notice and is now blatantly going after Big Chris mostly for the fact the guy looks like an absolute slob. Christie has had a rough last few year starting at Bridgegate, going to beachgate and the finally being Trump's lap dog but at least now he's swinging above his weight and looking to draw blood

Take on the reviver of the imploded Sunken Titanic tourist submarine

I can't believe we are still spending money on this stupid submarine thing. A week after it was confirmed the thing imploded, we are told that they have recovered the wreckage from the ocean floor which must have cost a fortune. I don't know watt the purpose is for spending more resources to recover what is already known to be a graveyard.

Let the people onboard rest in peace and stop sending things to to gawk at something you are already well aware of

Take on old Biden

bide. Apparently Biden had sleep apnea which is debilitating for a guy who works at the local mill but for a guy whose running the United States of America, a little harder. He's been using one of those sleep apnea machines which somehow is making him look even older. We get that it's not all about age and he's still the democrats best chance of beating Trump but for the next year and a half there is going to be this constant drip drip drip about his age and then the GOP will drop a gigantic bombshell October 2024 basically proving that he is a waking corpse and

Take on the loose definition of breaking news

I think we all have a slightly different definition of where the line falls between breaking news and basic gossip. We would all agree that an attack on the capitol would warrant breaking news headlines and one of the Kardashian's dating a new NBA player is pure gossip fodder. Then there are borderline issues like maybe a death of a celebrity but I don't think Ryan Seacrest taking over for Pat Sajak is worth the bandwidth it's transmitted over let alone qualify it as breaking news and send me a notification.

Maybe time to think about your messaging strategy

Take on the audio

The Trump audio sounds completely damming and something half as egregious would throw a layman in jail for life but with anything Trump when I listen ot it, there is just enough wiggle room for him to skate again. The issue is that all of it is circumstantial and without the testimony from
multiple people in the room, it's just not going to be enough. The papers you hear rustling could be a newspaper they will argue. The language is all insinuation and there is no real smoking gun. Now we all know exactly what he was referring to but we all know that he can shoot a man in the middle of 5th avenue and half the people would claim the dude got hit by a passing taxi.

So we will need more…

Take on the rest stop Shake Shack

I've always considered Arby's the quintessential rest stop meal. Inexpensive, terrible and quick and it runs through you so quickly that it almost guarantees you will racing towards the next rest stop.
So when I started noticing that the Vince Lombardi rest stop had a Shake Shack, I was more than a bit surprised. I always considered Shake Shack a step above the normal fast food burger chains but finding one next to a Cinnabon across from the men's room off of 95, sort of takes it down a notch

Take on Prigozhin

With Wagner marching upon Moscow, it seemed for a hot second that Prigozhin was going to do what Napoleon or Hitler couldn't do, defeat Russia on its own soil. But as fast as this insurrection started, it was over with the troops falling back about 200km from Moscow and then surrendering without firing a weapon with Prigozhin agreeing to become a window washer in Belarus. I know nothing about geopolitics but will tell you that the chances of this dude surviving through the end of summer under Lukashenko's thumb is less than 5%.

Take on the guy who stops in the middle of an on-ramp after getting into a fender bender

Explain to me that if you get into a fender bender your first thought is to stop in the middle of the road especially when it's an on-ramp to one of the busiest corridors in the country?? We know your Honda CRV has a belly ache but give me a break and move the hell over so the entire Northern part of New Jersey can get to work and the bus doesn't have to pretend it's a monster truck.

Take on the George Santos' bond backers

The George Santos story get weirder by the day, even when it's about something as a family member covering his bond. It's not totally unusual l for somebody to step in but when the bond is $500,000 and you are asking blue collar people to come up with it virtually overnight, it seems a bit sketchy. Then again, Sketchy and Santos are basically synonyms at this point.

TaKe on the Marjorie Taylor Greene- Lauren Boebert House floor fight

Three Toes and BoBo got into a bit of a spat on the House floor with one of them calling the other one a "little Bitch". Now I'm not sure who called who what but do know that these two clowns have made quite a reputation for themselves in recent moths as home-wreckers, conspiracy theorists and for being just generally vile humans
I can't believe that America elects these two.

Take on Hunter

Hunter Biden has plead guilty to a number of charges proving again that we don't -in fact- live in a banana republic. I'm sure there will be complaints about the Trump appointed judge or whatever lame sentence he will have but this is the way things should work. Son of the president commits crimes, he gets charged.

Now do Jr.

Take on the submarine thing

I know the news wants to make this story about the five ultra rich folks trapped in a private submarine the next soccer team caught in that cave story but I'm not buying it. These people signed up, fore's over a quarter of a million dollars and obviously knew the risk going in and the idea we are going to spend millions to rescues them from their own narcissistic indulgence is beyond me.
No thanks

Take on Joe Rogan

It took me until today to realize that Joe Rohan was the same dude who used to host that stupid Fear Factor show and it all makes sense now. I haven't ever heard his podcast, it sounds about as exciting as that Pat McAfee one which I also have never heard. The fact that Elon is now on kissing his ass tells you all you need to know with how insecure Musk is and how badly he needs anybody to acknowledge him at all despite being the second richest man in the world

Rake on the I-95 repair

The news that I-95 will be repaired within two weeks was amazing news, not just in that it would make life for people living I. The NorthEast corridor's life a bit better but more so that a major construction project could actually happen quickly without a thousand delays and needs for approvals.

Maybe we can actually act like a first world country when it comes to infrastructure

Friday, June 16, 2023

Take on the UPS strike

This pending UPS stoke seems like it might bring the country to its knees faster than any writers strike, teacher's strike or Major League Baseball strike. I don't think there is a service we use more often than UPs, the dude practically has his own room at my house as we have like a standing three box order from Amazon.

Take on an every crowded field

When I heard Francis Suarez was running to the GOO nomination my first thought was..who??
I this dude is apparently the anti DeSantis who is the anti Rubio. I really don't know but there chances of this dude winning 1% is unlikely but he will benefit from major news organizations covering his losing campaign

Wednesday, June 14, 2023

Take on the chyron

FoxNews is so desperate to get Trump on to
Do one of those lame town hall things that they will throw just about anything on their chyron.

I don't quite understand the idea of calling Biden a wanna be dictator. Either he is and he's so good at it that he can take Trump down or he's just a wanna be one but even better at it as he's doing without any real authority. Sounds like somebody they actually should really like.

Take on indictment day

Today should be…..interesting. We've waited for so long to finally get a federal indictment and now we finally have one. I don't care what anybody's justification is as to whether trump should have been allowed to keep state secrets but the fact he so blatantly mismanaged them and showed them off like mementos from his term, has to bother any reasonable person…..so it won't bother any of his core supporters

Monday, June 12, 2023

Take on the the Royal guard

I never quite understand the need for these blokes to have to stand in 100 degree weather dressed like they are going to a meeting of the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalos. I get that this pomp and circumstance is important to all involved but don't quite see what we are really hoping to get at when one dude basically drops dead and the rest of them start playing taps.

Take on the concert at 47.

The last time I sat in the nosebleeds at Giant Stadium for a concert, I was seeing Metallica, Faith No More and Guns N' Roses. Now, 35 or so years later, I climbed to row 25 in section 307 to catch Ed Sheeran. It's been two hours, we caught the warm up act named Khalid and I literally didn't know a single song. I did eat a cookie and had a $12 beer, so that's kinda cool.

Somebody please send me a set list for this Sheeran guy because I don't think I know a single one of his either.

Take on Baby Gronk

The athletic has been promoting a story about some kid named Baby Gronk who is basically a social media sensation because his dad has mastered the art of promotion. The thing is that nobody sees Baby Gronk as anything but a Kardashian in shoulder pads and the entire thing is about how ridiculously insane this dad is but the Atlantic is just doing the guy's dirty work at this time. Free promotion on all their platforms just feeds into this dad's ego

Take on the Trump Bathroom

So it's becoming clear that Trump was hiding top secret and classified info in a shitter which is pretty appropriate considered who we are dealing with.

Everybody is going to focus on the 37 or 38 charges but I'm asking that for the kite of me I cannot understand why somebody would have a gigantic chandelier in their bathroom.

The dude is not well

Thursday, June 8, 2023

Take on the indictment

Did anything interesting happened in the news today? I can't recall a day where a story as big as the toxic smoke plume which turned the city into the surface of mars, took a backseat so quickly. But now we can all rejoice in the fact we may finally get some justice

This is a long time coming and the idea that Trump is finally going to get his day in court is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Chances of him seeing jail time is limited but just the thought of this fat slob sitting in his his tighty whities sweating over this indictment is enough for now

Take on the air quality

For a guy who has spent months of my life in manufacturing cities in China, I never imagined having worse air quality..until today

I'm far from an alarmist, so when there was talk of a smoke cloud from Canada I took it as seriously as when I hear about a bomb cyclone but this time, they were right

It's not just the air for your lungs which feels like you just pulled a 6 foot bong but my eyes feel like I decided to go swimming in the YMCA without goggles and my teeth feel like I had a dozen poppy bagels.

Take on the LIV-PGA merger

The PGA tour has proven once again that when it comes to conviction, it goes only as far as the dollar bill. We know the LIV tour was a disaster and a total money pit but they did know that it was never about making money now, but rather bringing the PGA to the bargaining table. It also brought something else to my attention, that there is apparently another tour around called the DP world tour which just be like one of those regional wrestling circuits in 1987 which will now get their own injection of money.

I wasn't all that annoyed about the Saudi financing when half the world's sports organizations seem to have troubling investors.
I'm just annoyed that this probably is a good thing for Trump.

Monday, June 5, 2023

Take on obstruction

The level of obstruction is getting comical at this point. Mar-a-Lago's pool was drained which flooded a server room in the middle of the FBI subpoenaing Trump's records which is more than a little coincidental I'm not sure what the coverup is but at this point we know they are hiding something and they can't come up with anything Nixonian that doesn't make them look worse

Can't we just fast forward and get to the end this thing, cause this movie sucks

Sunday, June 4, 2023

Take on Meet the Depressed

The moderator stepping down from Meet the Depressed which in years past would have been huge news but now just feels like another yawn. I watched MTP religiously back in the day but can't say I've watched it in 20 years. I loved Russert but David Gregory was horrible and Chuck Todd is equally brutal Those two have ruined an institution

Saturday, June 3, 2023

Take on “woke”

Nothing is lazier than the current use of "woke" by politicians during political rally's. It's not clever, it's not original, it's not meaningful and it's not interesting. I can't imagine standing in line for hours to watch a guy basically repeat the same word over and over again. Especially when he doesn't even have a succinct definition for it.

Friday, June 2, 2023

Take on Chick Fil-A

The newest member of the Gone Woke group is Chick Fil-A which is like they going after the Catholic Church for being woke. It wasn't a pride message but the fact they they have some kind of diversity committee on the corporate level

I don't care as I avoid that place because of their anti-anti-woke stance but feel like the crazies are running out of companies to go after

Thursday, June 1, 2023

Take on Pence

Mike Pence is set to enter the presidential race officially adding another speed bump to Trump. I'm sure Pence's idea of courting the religious right with some kind of faux morality is a plan he thinks will be successful but when you've hitched your wagon to Trump for so long, hoping to pull away from it so you can elected is more than a bit hypocritical.

We aren't excited about his Candace because hes a horrible human but mostly, we know he won't have the guts to actually debate Trump as they are all so deathly afraid of him. It has become obvious that Ronnie, Mikey, Nikki and Christie are all just hoping Jack Smith does their bidding for them and that they then emerge from the smoldering mess.
