Take on Sunday travelers

Great news!! The pandemic is over!!

It seems nobody gives a crap anymore, everybody is flying all over the place, having big holiday parties,
Doing our for dinners and just throwing caution into the wind. We as a country just said "fuck it" we are done with the virus.
I ask why did we go through all of this hell the last eight months to throw it all away when there is finally an end in sight?? If there was no vaccine on the horizon I could see people saying they can't live like this forever but with the first doses of the vaccine coming in mid December and predictions for 70% vaccination and thus a herd immunity by the middle of spring, it seems the easiest time to bunker down.
I mean who the hell wants to see their miserable families anyway?!? Use this opportunity to stay away from everybody

Take on the outside dining tent

I honestly don't get the idea of outdoor dining..in a tent.     I've been camping and there is nothing hotter than sitting inside a tent, there is no airflow, it fills up with breath instantly and you feel like vomiting within ten minutes.   But even knowing this, people have decided that eating in a tent is a sensible compromise for Covid.    This is what gets me though... when these restaurants close the tent on four sides because it's too cold it isn't outside dining at all, it becomes inside dining.   So you aren't getting any Covid advantage and I'd argue you are getting a disadvantage because at least if you are sitting inside in a half way decent restaurant they have some kind of air conditioning system that is filtering the air.    There is absolutely nothing but stagnant air inside a tent which is basically a Petri dish of Covid

Take on Tyson-Roy Jones

There really is nothing that interests me less than seeing two 50 year olds do a choreographed WWF style dance. I get that there is a nostalgia to all of this but does anybody remember how bad Tyson was at the end? I also saw a photo of Roy Jones and he looks like he's been a regular at the buffet line which at least puts him in the right weight class against Tyson

Anyway, I'm not forking over $50 for this show..although Nate Robinson kicking the hell out of that YouTube kid doesn't sound too bad

Take on the Lufthansa lie-flat Economy seat concept

Lufthansa is figuring that since people don't want to sit next to each other on a flight during Covid that instead of losing the middle seat to abide by distancing rules, they should try to sell it to the schmuck already sitting in the row. The idea is that people can try to sleep in that row which is perfect did you are 5 foot 3 inches and don't mind having your ass sink into one of those in between seat crevices and are comfortable lying down with half their body floating in open surface. It's particularly interesting that this is being offered bu the national airline of a people who probably average 5'9" or something
So if I get the structure, I pay three times the cost of my normal coach ticket and having the flight attendant slam the drink cart into my outstretched legs multiple times. Where do I sign up for this deal?

And do earn three times the miles?!?

Take on the fat guy at little desk

Trump had a public temper tantrum laden today seated at a table normally used as the kids table for a thanksgiving dinner. He was flanked by an undecorated Christmas tree and wasseated on a wooden chair in a way he would perch himself on a toilet bowl.
Obviously this isn't the most important thing going on right now bur the fact that his staff let him go our there basically wearing Ronald McDonald shoes makes you realize how little respect he commands at this point

Take on South Dakota Dead Red

CovidAcNow had to add a new shade of red to denote the level of outbreak across the Midwest. I've been following this website for months and hadn't seen them go past the red that NY and NJ are dyed.
Then I look over at little Rhode Island which has always been a bit of an anomaly around here. I think their cases were relatively mild in the first wave but now the state seems to be a bit of a predictor for the region. They were yellow when other New England states were green, they went red while we were yellow and now they are SouthDakota dead red.
Thank god you can drive through that state while holding your breath

Take on the Yeti tumbler

I am predicting the future and I see opening a bunch of presents from some aunt or within a Secret Santa at work and having to feign excitement when I get another Yeti. These things were cool three years ago but now I have a closet full of them and feel like I'll be overflowing a landfill by the time this stupid trend is gone.

Yeti's were kind of cool before they made every "cool gift nobody needs" list. I've gotten a bunch of them, some to cool a beer, some to keep my coffee warm but really I don't see the appeal to a $30 thermos

And even if you like them, truthfully who the hell needs more than one of those things? How many times do you people go hiking and need a hot chocolate or a cold pineapple juice??

Take on the Venmo feed

We've decided to take the editorial decision that now that Trump has lost the election for about the fiftieth time we are going to attempt to go back to the original intent of this blog..to complain

I'm not a huge Venmo user but the other day I had to make a payment and realized that my fees was public as the default setting. Now I don't have much to hide, I'd you are interested go nuts and see my payments for soccer clinics and piano lessons but we it find it odd that this is at all something that anybody would want public.
This isn't some random social media post, these are transactions for goods and services. Who the heck would want the world to know they just paid $100 for a massage?? There can't be any good reason why anybody whose made aware that this feed is public would consciously decide to keep it that way.

Take on Sidney Powell

When Rudy thinks you are re too crazy to represent Trump, you are in some serous trouble. Today the Trump campaign distanced itself from Sidney Powell by claiming she wasn't ever part of it although she spent hours onstage with the just a few days ago. Powell is certifiably nuts even for Trump level, but it's still somewhat surprising since she was at least create a distraction and now all eyes will be on the Orange idiot again

Take on the end of the Trump era

One day we will wake up and for the first time nor have to read an article about Trump. It would be the first time in five years that he won't make headlines which would do us all a lot of good. I even think that for Trump supporters it would be therapeutic to not have to defend the ineptitude, the lack of courage, the disdain for morality, the divisiveness, the absence of truthfulness, the self admiration and the lack of emotional maturity.

But until then he will pay Rudy $20,000 per day to throw away his dignity and fight in court even if the cases all lack any legal standing.

But Trump will remain in the headlines until the day he is no longer president and immediately no longer newsworthy which at this point is all we can ever ask for.

Take on Junior’s passed test

Don Jr finally passed a test on his own merits, it took him 40 years but he can now finally take a bow for success. We sat this because this is the way to rank success in the Trump world, getting Covid is a badge of honor for these imbeciles and if they do get it, their crazy constituents think it proves how powerful they are

Anyway good luck to Junior, I hope her survives so he can witness the secret service having to physically remove his fat dad from the White House

Take on face bleeding Rudy

I didn't watch Rudy's press conference bur was bombarded with photos of him bleeding hair dye all over his face. I also heard him try to quote any Cousin Vinnie and blow snot into a tissue which he then used to wipe his face, snot side up.
He wants to be paid $20,000 per hour for this kind of service snd at this point, maybe the Lincoln Project should offer to pay it because it's the most sure fire way to ensure Trump's entire hopes of stealing the election evaporates.

Take on the Twitter reaction to TrumpMs tweets

At this joint either Trump is trolling Jack or Jack is trolling Trump. It seems that every one of his imbecilic tweets gets a "this claim about election fraud is disputed" note on the bottom of it, Twitter is slapping them on basically as fast as Trump can put them up.
I have to think that there is nobody reading his tweets and still believes them would be swayed by this clarification but I'm all go making sure it stays on there anyway

Take on the uncertified then quickly certified election

Poor Trump, he lost the election, he's lost a number of court cases and he keeps losing and loading even when he thinks he's winning. He tweeted out today that the Wayne country board of elections refused to certify the election, gloating over what looked like a victory for him and right on cue, the two Republican board members changed tune and voted to certify the election. This was another embarrassment for a campaign which has lost virtually ever one of its court challenged and nobody outside of Lindsey Graham seems willing to believe anything anymore

This is Trump's America, where if you don't like somebody sue them, if you owe somebody something just walk away from them and if you don't like an election try to figure our a way to change it

Monday, November 16, 2020

Take on Lindsey’s new master

Lindsey Graham always needs somebody to latch onto. It was John McCain for a decade and when McCain dies, Graham decided to attach himself to McCain's sworn enemy like a blood sucking leech. We thought that maybe Graham was playing Trump but it was pretty obvious that Graham wanted to the saxophone to Trump's hot air.
And now, he decided to lose even the last shred of dignity by using his position to try to get Georgia to throw our a bunch of ballots to help his sugar daddy win.
He should really be looking for another slob to suck up to because Trump is going to be out of power in two months and Lindsey will have a gigantic void.

Take on the Biden express

Trump finally admitted that Biden won the election and wish we could just close this dark chapter in our country's history. Of course Trump is claiming some kind of crazy election fraud which nobody is still actually considering.

He's got some new theory about Dominion and I have to say, I have no idea what he's talking about. He's pretty adamant that there is some kind of fraud based on faulty machinery which has to be the lamest excuse that's our there

Take on Trump’s war with FoxNews

Trump's latest foe is FoxNews and watching the two battle it out in a sumo match is glorious. FoxNews has done more damage to journalism based on their editorial department and Trump has done similar damage to our most sacred institutions.
This is the issue. We aren't afraid of FoxNews, we've long understood they play down to the lowest common denominator and their news division is quite good. The problem is that nobody watch's FoxNews for news, they watch it to see Sean Hannity in a thong trying to unzipper Donald Little Trump and Tucker is making sure he doesn't spew anything on his bowtie

But Trump needs more move than these two can give so he's going to war with them.

It's not exactly high quality TV

Take on the fixer

One thing has become obvious, when Trump needs something done he calls on his personal fixer to do it. The problem is that Rudy always seems to slam his finger into the door when he's trying to get away with something. It's now well known that the Kremlin already has been pegged as a useful idiot, so it's just a matter of time for them to get their dirty vodka covered hands further into Trump world which makes the Biden victory that much more soothing

Without Hunter Biden to go after, Trump decided that he'd send Rudy to lead his baseless court cases of voter fraud. Nobody will do better than Rudy at screwing this up. He's a crazy old man who can't keep his pants on and there is no way he will figure out the nuance of voter fraud. Bur he will get onto Fox and Friends and Hannity daily to show Trump that he's hard at work..and for a guy who is basically just an adult toddler, maybe giving him Rudy to watch on TV is just a good way for him to keep quiet.

Take on the Trump split

The Trump clan is split on how to exit stage left. Half of them want him to do so somewhat gracefully, to protect his legacy and brand while the other half want him to drop his pants and moon the audience and then break all the props on the stage

Of course it's Tweedle dee and Tweedle dumb who want the latter option asking Trump to go down fighting. Ivanka and Kushner are taking a more measured approach but only because they are protecting the Trump brand not because they actually care about our country

Can't wait for this entire group to be out of our lives forever.

Wednesday, November 11, 2020

Take on Trump’s next plans

Trump has told allies he plans to run for president again in 2024 which implies he is coming to grips with his defeat in 2020. We know this won't last long and he'll be back on his election fraud kick shortly but one thing is clear. We won't be rid of Trump in January 20th. He will likely start a media company and put Don jr and Eric in primetime which will be pretty successful because Trump supporters love themselves a Jr-Eric sandwich.
I'm just hoping he takes some well deserved time off and makes sure he gets back to playing golf.

Take on the disputed election.

Trump is down by nearly 5 million votes in the popular vote total and is ahead in all five swing states by somewhere between 12,567 and 47,215 votes which makes me think it's time to start thinking about something other than the 2020 election.
We knew Trump wasn't going to go quietly and him grasping for straws now is perfectly on brand but the fact his minions in the federal government m are following suit is disappointing. We always assumed the sycophant followers would fall in line but thought that the instinct of the politicians would be to get off of a sinking ship but somehow Trump is keeping them all in line too.
I have to think that Trump has so much dirt on all of these people that he's threatening to release that he's got them all by the balls..

Monday, November 9, 2020

Take on Brian Kemp

Brian Kemp doubled down on Trump's legally cast ballot implication and it shows how broken our democracy is. The completely unverified implication that there are illegal ballots is designed to sow discord and put doubt on a count which no legitimate news organization has seen any sign of. I have heard about a Biden truck pulling up to a polling station, opening the back doors snd the entire street being covered in fake Biden ballots like it was Times Square on January 1st. Trump mentioned finding ballots in a river

This is dangerous, to try to delegitimized the process without any proof sill her the Trump
Crazies even more crazy and those psychos are strapped up to the gills

Screenshot 2020-11-08 at 10.39.58 PM

Rudy Giuliani standing in front of an old landscaping building next to a crematorium and a place that sells two for one dildos is really the perfect tableaux for 2020. I feel badly for For Seasons Landscaping as they are being ridiculed because of the stupidly of it all but at least you have to hope they will hawk a lot of merchandise

But one thing is clear, Trump's magic wand has turned into lame Dick.

Take on history

Today was a day when we finally exhaled. Not because Joe Biden is a savior, not because there is some nuanced policy change or because we will get a new HUD Secretary.
We exhaled because the country chose decency, civility and honesty. We exhaled because after four years we finally made America great again by dumping the MAGA maggots who have infested the White House
But what is depressing is that there are 70 million people who decided that Trump was what America needed. People who may otherwise have seemed good and sensible enough turned into the type who you couldn't have a discussion with as their entire sense of morality had been altered.
And those 70 million people are now angry and those guys all have guns...
We are more divided than we ever have, even more so than in 2016 when there may have been novelty to Trump. But there is no excuse now, we have seen with our own eyes what he is willing to do to this country and still 70 millions agreed to let him do it

Friday, November 6, 2020

Take on the loser

Poor Trump, he doesn't seem to understand how elections work
He's very upset that the leads he had early have dissipated as they started counting the mail in ballots which everybody knew would be Biden votes.
Of course he's been setting this exact situation up for months knowing he'd likely lose when all the. Allots were counted, so he's doing exactly what he said he would
I can't imagine how miserable he's going to be the next few months, I'm guessing he's going to be angry tweeting more than usual and will likely have his "you can't handle the truth moment" soon

Thursday, November 5, 2020

Take on Nevada’s slow count

Can somebody explain to me how Nevada which isn't exactly a populous state is going to be the last one to finish counting?? They had 75% of the votes counted by early in the morning but have had almost nothing counted since. Pennsylvania drops new numbers a few times per hour, so does Georgia but Nevada has given us like 10,000 votes in the last 24 hours

The one thing Vegas knows it speed. Dealers don't deal cards slowly, they rush them out so you play more hands per hour.

I'm convinced they are hoping to be king makers, the second PA and/or GA pulls ahead for Biden, they will dump their last ballots to make sure they were the ones who ultimately decided the election

Wednesday, November 4, 2020

Take on the pollsters

It's been 27 hours since the first polls closed snd we've had a roller coaster ride

The first few states broke as expected, nobody really thought Biden would take Kentucky or Trump would take Connecticut and all eyes fell on Florida who we were told was in play this year. I heard countless podcasters discuss how the electorate was changing, they sent our hundreds of reporters to The Villages and tried to find some glimmer of hope. And then Florida did what Florida always does..
Then our eyes turned on Texas which was another red state we were told was turning purple but like Beto a few years ago it wasn't to be and honestly it wasn't close. Even Ohio flirted with us for a few minutes before also succumbing to the mesmerizing eyes of Trump

Wisconsin was way closer than we were told, Michigan too. Pennsylvania is still behind and should be razor thin and really nothing has happened that show me that the polls had the pulse of the country...except maybe for Georgia

Win, lose or draw the fact that Georgia is within 40k votes tonight is amazing.
I'd never expect to see the day that Georgia would go blue but maybe orange does that to you.

Tuesday, November 3, 2020

Take on the mid evening results

I'm sick
I'm absolutely sick

There is just no way that Florida comes in for Biden because Florida is always Lucy's football.

Maybe this entire thing turns around in the next few hours but as of 8:45 there isn't a sign that any of these states that we were teased with for Biden are showing us anything. The only one that shows any hope is Pennsylvania and we won't know the results for that till Thanksgiving. Anyway, this entire thing sucks. I hate the electoral college, I hate Trump and I haute the fact that our country is swayed by this psycho

Monday, November 2, 2020

Take on cancel culture

Trump made his final campaign message about what Joe Biden would deprive our country of. Seems that Biden in his first 30 days will cancel Christmas, Halloween and Easter and day light saving time also. Maybe he will cancel bad TV, movies that run over two and a half hours and light beer.
He likely also will cancel boat parades and political ads and maybe he will cancel people shutting down the Tappan Zee Bridge and the PIP. He will cancel
Cancel-Culture and anybody humming Culture Club in an elevator

But most importantly he's going to cancel Trump

Sunday, November 1, 2020

Take on the ultimate hedge

Nobody was more embarrassed by their lack of foresight in 2016 than the main stream media
And this time every major news outlet has put our articles showing Trump's path to victory, nobody is willing to go out on a limb and say Biden is winning this and Nate Silver out the the biggest hedge in his career

Silver wants to make it abundantly clear that he doesn't have this election won. We all know how 2016 ended and nobody was more ridiculed than Silver for his 10% chance Trump can win thing. Obviously we are all allowed mistakes and his 19% thing was not a mistake as much as it proved that 10%<> 0% but it can't have done much for his ego
