I don't care if he claims they were declassified, if they are covers under executive privilege or whatever. There is no reasonable excuse for having these left so vulnerable especially as it's not exactly a private residence but a country club with hundreds or people walking through daily.

Trump has been busy on Truth Social the last few days fanning the flames of insurrection while trying himself to find a pill for an erection. I'm not 100% sure when he finally gets taken down but he's getting more lame by the minute and his ardent followers have to start peeling off knowing this is basically the Titanic at this point

Anyway, today he complained that people were mean which I can appreciate because anything that gets under his skin is a good thing.

Take on Fire Island

There is no better vacation spot around here than Fire Island. There are good restaurants, the beaches aren't overly crowded, kids can bike and walk around at will and the no cars thing makes the entire place feel intimate. The quiet streets brings back a feel of long ago, when things were simpler and less hectic. In many ways it's really magical.


With that said, there is no worse vacation spot when it comes to actually getting there. It's a miserable drive to Bay Shore which on a Saturday or Sunday can be hours long. You then have to find parking which is near impossible as everyone lot is at capacity. If you can miraculously find parking befor missing the ferry you have the pleasure of getting on a moving sardine can with not a mask in sight. If you miss the ferry, it's a short 1:40 wait for the next one which will likely be more crowded.

Once you get to the other side you have the pleasure of wheeling all your stuff including a week's worth of groceries by one of those red wagons dodging snot nosed kids and vacationers who have no sense of direction.
You get to your great Un-air conditioned house where you will sweat out the $10 beers and $12 ice creams

You then get to do the reverse a week later


But other than that the place is great

There is a reason we hate traveling. The packing and shlepping sucks. The places you visit are often crowded and touristy, the food is expensive and overrated and the experience is underwhelming as it can never live up to the hype.

But what is the worst part bar none are those awful lines. I spend hours of my life waiting to get through customs or immigration or security and you'd have to think that there has to be some better system to all of this madness. It certainly cannot be the most efficiency method.

Like New Coke and those weird NBA jerseys which looked like they belonged in the WNBA, McDonalds is going to ruin a classic and try to sell a Chicken BigMac.   There is no better sandwich than the BigMac, it's a perfect combination of two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.   I like a good fast food chicken sandwich but this is not it.

The best thing about international travel has always been the food. Whether it's a delicacy like bull balls or a bunch of dead pigeons having in a store window, the second you walk into a country you immediately lose 10 pounds. Today I was met with what I guess is an entire sheep's leg which basically looked like that of a ballet dancer. This might be delicious and presenting it this way may prove it's fresh but the idea I need to see the hoof and the calf isn't my idea of appetizing.

If there is a worse airport in the world than Charles De Gaulle I'd like to hear about it. Not only does the stench of unshowered Frenchmen fill the air but you spend an hour trying to navigate the complex underground maze to get from one gate to another.l including trains, escalators, elevators, non operational people movers. Nothing is labeled well, the staff is unhelpful and there isn't a store that sells anything other then Louis Vuitton or Chanel bags.

When you finally get to security which miraculously was empty only to find that they kept the all of the ropes up so you basically walk the length of a football field to go ten yards and if you even think about crawling under they hang you by your eyeballs

I've travelled more miles in the air than just about anybody I'm friends with. I've had hundreds of international flights and have been in my fair share of lounges but there is no worse business class lounge this side of those jailhouse ones in Beijing than the AirFrance one at JFK's terminal 1. The last time this was refurbished was probably back when Jacques Chirac was president. The place feels like a dated massage parlor lobby and the food looks like it's been sitting there for a week. The beer selection is lackluster, they don't have a newspaper and the WiFi is dialup slow. Other than that, it's great

When I read the article about Trump wanting "his generals"'to be more like the e German generals from the early 1940's, I thought it would carry the news cycle for a few days. Sadly, all that work to put together that long form article will be for naught after the news broke about Mar-a-Lago being raided this morning. The amount of evidence that must have been presented to a federal judge in order to get an issued no knock warrant has to be immense especially considering he's a former president.

It sounds like this is a raid based on the classified information he took from The White House which will only embolden his ardent followers I'm afraid to storm the FBI headquarters.

We have entire beaches ass to ass filled with people who have no business taking their shirts off in public. It's time to put an end of beaches for our collective sanity.
