Take on the Biden overture

Biden made an overture toward Trump to work together to pass a bipartisan border bill which could be seen as a brilliant political maneuver. Obviously Trump will decline as he can't afford to lay any headway on his most well known political rallying cry
What Biden should do is double down and call it the Trump-Biden border security bill and let that egomaniac turn that down.

take on permission to seek a trade

I always laugh when a pro team allows a terrible player that they no longer want to pursue a trade. This to me is the ultimate insult because it forces that bad player to come to a reckoning. Imagine you are Zack Wilson and you are now forced to do your own bidding, you call the Chiefs or Bills and ask what they'd give up for you and you are met with silence. Then you figure maybe a bad team wants you so you call the Panthers and ask them and there is just laugher on the other side. You then have to go back to the Jets and tell them that nobody is interested in giving up anything for your service.

It's the ultimate kick in the dick.

Take on the Wendy’s surge pricing

Wendy's announced this week that next year they plan to introduce dynamic surge pricing which makes what was once the best fast food experience now a miserable one. I'm sure there is some kind of business school logic and it's sort of the same as discounts for food at the end of the day which may other wise go to waste but when you are a fast food joint and people are driving up at 2am just as often as 2pm, what time is the surge anyway???

Take on the Trump Media’s Impending Merger

Reading a piece in the Times today speculating that Trump may use the proceeds from the merger between Truth Social and some shell company to pay his $450M fine had me shocked. Not that this would be something that a person under financial duress may do, but that they said Trump's stake in the social media platform may be worth $4 billion dollars.
I'd like to believe that Trump isn't quite as rich as proclaims but the fact that Maggie Haberman has reported that he has close to the liquid assets to pay the fine is shocking. Add to that the buildings, the golf courses and the endless stream of cash which he seems to be able to print directly from his followers and the dude is no doubt one of the wealthiest people alive.
Which is made easier in the fact that he never pays his debts.

Take on the Hampton Inn

Nothing screams happiness like waking up in Albuquerque and finding yourself in the most familiar place this side of now bed. A Hampton Inn has to be one of the most consistent things America has to offer. It doesn't matter if you are in Shaumsburgh, Rutland or Columbus, the experience is always the same. The biggest issue is that I often have to look at my own itinerary to figure out what city I'm actually staying at.

Take on the both sides thing

The NYTimes is so desperate for readers that they are basically becoming ClickBait. Nothing is more frustrating than their both-sidesism thing where they look at Trump ripping off a charity and then try to say that Biden once didn't put a dollar into the collection plate.

Now they are on a new mission to start to paint the picture of a Bidenless election. Which is complete fiction but they know people are suckers and will click on it…and I did

Take on Wayne LaPierre

Thoughts and prayers for Wayne LaPierre the former head of the NRA who has lost another lawsuit and must pay out $4M on a corruption case. We know that $4M for a guy who's got his pockets full of dollars stained by the blood of innocent children, is not a lot but we hope it hurts.

What a total piece of crap this guy is, always has been and always will be

Take on Applebees

Took my daughters upstate this week and after a five hour drive, checked into the hotel and asked reception for a good food option. We're in strip-mall county, so I was looking for a Fridays or Chilis but was told neither was near but there was an Applebees. I have never been before but assumed it would be the same general American fare with cold beer and a bunch of TV's.

They did have cold beer albeit a poor selection and there was NASCAR on TV but what was really awful was the food. The selections sounded fine but the quality was basically inedible. I got some chicken tortilla salad and it tasted like rat meat served over iceberg lettuce. Never again.

Take on the multiple express check in lines.

Nothing has improved travel more than PreCheck, Global Entry and Clear. It's amazing how much time and aggravation this has all saved but with so many people signed up for it, it's now becoming a bit of a dance to decide which of the express lines are best. I recently added the virtual ID thing which is cool in that you don't have to take out your ID but is odd that it is itself another line.

Today I was told to go for the virtual ID line and all of a sudden realize that the line I'm on was busier and thus actually slower than the pre check one. It's like Russian roulette of airport lines trying to decide at this point.

Take on the automatic hand dyer

I can't believe that in the year 2024 we still believe these automatic hand dryers are any kind of solution. Not only are they obnoxiously loud, they spray water all over the place when you out your hands I them which is the opposite of hygienic plus I'm convinced that there is no way that that the amount of air blow they produce hasn't completely offset the environmental impact of a paper towel. We need a better system and we need it now.

Take on Discover

My first thought when Capital One announced they were buying Discover was…Discover is still around. I was convinced that this credit card was marketed just to 18 year old me which lead to the very predictable $2000 in the hole within a year. It's amazing to me how easily a kid like me got a credit card back then, on the back of no credit score, job or savings. But then again this is how they became money printing machines.

Take on the GoFundMe

Somebody decided that Trump needed a GoFundMe for the $355M judgment against him for basically cheating on his taxes. But if that wasn't crazy enough, he gotten more than a quarter of a million dollars donated towards it. People are literally sending money to help pay for the sins of a billionaire.

Take on Putin’s existential threat in Navalny

The chances of Alexey Navalny making it past a year in Russian's penal system was always very low. His death under suspicious conciseness was alway a good bet. We know that Putin ways saw Navalny as his only true challenger so we made absolutely sure that that challenge would end in 2024 ensuring that this is the last year of any opposition for a long time and I'm not holding my breath for that to be named person to make it out very far.

Take on another Colorado shootjng

Why is it always Colorado???

I don't know if it's actually true but it just seems that there are more per capita mass shootings in Colorado than in any other state. Obviously the big ones like Columbine and Aurora movie theater come to mind but there were also a bunch of other ones which sadly didn't get much more attention. Just today, there were two people killed at the University of Colorado on their Colorado Springs campus, another tragedy which we have no interest in preventing because guns guns guns .

Take on Alexander Smirnov Former FBI informant charged with lying about the Bidens’ role in Ukraine business

I've never paid much attention to the Burisma claims as they always seemed ridiculously far fetched and incredibly uninteresting. What I did pay attention to was that the GQP has made it their talking point for whatever trusting that if they mentioned it enough, people would start to assume that if there was smoke there must be a fire.
Now it comes out that the FBI informant whose cooperation the entire case is based upon is a lying weasel Of course I'm sure that the entire GOP house committee will now apologize to Biden, so we can all move on.

Take on another shooting

Only in america can a fanbase go out to celebrate a mother historic victory and fear not making it out alive. I don't know what the right wants us to do but at what point will they take this seriously and not just sweep it under the rug like they do with everything

Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Take on the CDC decision to ease Covid-19 isolation guidance

Four years after our entire world turned upside down, the CDC is revising their Covid isolation protocol which now means that they will ask people to treat it like schools treat any virus meaning that you can go back to normal when you are 24 hours fever free.
I had Covid a few months ago and literally never got a fever, so not sure exactly how they'd recommend I handle the isolation.
What really sucks is there is nothing better than being able to hide out from the world for five full days when you don't even feel sick. So this new rule sucks

Monday, February 12, 2024

Take on the immunity claim

Trump is asking the Supreme Court to weigh in on his immunity ruling which nobody in their right mind should expect to go his way. After last week's hearing, which will likely go in Trump's favor in the tune of 8-1, this one might be the giveback to the democrats. It's insane to think that he should get immunity for all crimes he committed as president and likely the many more he will commit if he ever became president again. Time for the Supreme Court to come out blazing and this sucker straight

Take on the end racism end zone thing

In all for the positives messages from the NFL but the idea that their "end racism" end zone thing is at all meaningful is laughable. I'm not sure what the idea is but it seems like some kind of lame agreement where they would figure that they are doing something in response to the kneeling a few years ago. Anyway, the commercials have kind of sucked

Saturday, February 10, 2024

Take on Nikki’s husband

He called Ted's wife ugly, he called Ronnie untrustworthy and he's now asked why Nikki's husband isn't joining her on the campaign trail. I'm not Hally apologist but the fact her husband is serving overseas and getting mocked by captain bone spur is a bit rich. Time to shut this load of blubber down.

Friday, February 9, 2024

Take on the Supreme Court

We never felt the Colorado ruling to keep Trump off of the ballot would stand up to the rigor of a Supreme Court lawsuit. The 14th amendment mentions almost every office except for president and the idea he falls under the "officer" role was never going to fly with these constitutionalists. I think the best argument against Trump being allowed on the ballot is that we know he won't accept the results regardless and will likely start another uprising.

Thursday, February 8, 2024

Take on the special counsel

The special counsel came back to say that Biden didn't do anything wrong. In the classified case BUT did decide he needed to slander Biden by making the world aware that he was a nice elderly man with memory loss. This tells you what kind of partisan hack job this was because they couldn't find any impropriety so instead had to manufacture something to make him look like an old grandfather. Which I guess he is.

Wednesday, February 7, 2024

Take on Marianne Williamson

When I read that Marianne Williamson was dropping out of the presidential race, my first thought was "she was in the presidential race??" I know being an upstart is difficult when faced against a big political machine but when you are a complete loon, it doesn't help much either
Anyway, she's going to end her run which is fine with me. It's a two dog race anyway and we may as well get to the main event

Tuesday, February 6, 2024

Take on the vote gone wrong

The impeachment vote for Mayorkas didn't go all to well for Three Toes and her cronies when they forgot how to count. Somehow the leadership forgot that when you have a razor thin majority, you have to make sure everybody is on board which apparently they forgot.

Anyway, at least we don't have to go through this stunt over the next year.

Monday, February 5, 2024

Take on the border bill

We've been saying for a while that the southern border is something Biden better address or it could sink him in November despite a good economy. But the GOO has decided that they cannot give him a victory and will thus torpedo the deal the senators made, purely so that Biden can't claim a victory. The thing about the MAGA faction is that keeping their stories straight has to a near impossible task at this point with the only thing they are certain of is party over country.

Sunday, February 4, 2024

Take on the year of Taylor

Not hi bf has pissed off Trump country more than the fact Taylor won another Grammy and also announced she was dropped another album. Who the hell knows why she's so hated but I'm all for it. Let this woman take her rightful place as most influential especially if she can take out this orange dumbo

Saturday, February 3, 2024

Take on Tucker’s tip to Moscow

Tucker got fired from FoxNews a while back and from what I hear he's been doing some kind of podcast from his bunker which seems about as interesting as that sounds. As expected, nobody is watching and he needed to give some in-person explanation to daddy Putin about what went wrong. That can't go well for old Tucker who is being paid handsomely by Vladdy to be heard in the US, not be buried behind the Barstool, Joe Rogan and Pat McAfee things

Friday, February 2, 2024

Take on the historically unpopular incumbent

No incumbent has had such a strong economy and yet been so unpopular. 2024 will be yet another year where democrats win the main issues but lose the narrative as they are afraid to play gotcha with the republicans. The way i see ift, Biden has been completely defined by the GOP, they have taken away all his strengths and have blown up his weaknesses to the point where it doesn't even make sense anymore. Time for them to go on the offensive, he may not be popular which truly is insane but the full court press has to be "a vote for Biden is a vote against Trump."

Thursday, February 1, 2024

Take on the FoxNews poll

We are 10 months out and the election is about to get heated. FoxNews put out a hypothetical poll showing Biden with a 50%- 44% lead on Trump but more interestingly has widened that gap from a 1% just a few months ago.
We all know that Biden isn't sexy, or young or all that interesting but we also know he's not Trump and that goes for a whole lot.
