Take on Jared and Rupert

So apparently Rupert wasn't only feeding the election fraud crazies in the name of the all mighty dollar, he also gave Jarred Kushner a bunch of Biden intel because…of course he did. It was always been known that FoxNews plays favorites in their coverage while their on air talent openly and actively felates Trump at every corner but to hear that Murdoch gave election information gotten from Biden's directly to Kushner makes you ill

Take o Rupert Murdoch admitting Fox News hosts ‘endorsed’ Trump election conspiracy

The fact that FoxNews execs knew that their prime time hosts were spreading wild conspiracy lies is no shock There is no sane person who could actually believe that and the fact one of the most watched TV channels was knowingly championing something this ludicrous is no longer a shock. Rupert Murdoch in his deposition said that it wasn't about red or blue but simply about green which is the only true thing that has come out front his entire operation in decades

Take on the Dilbert guy

Everybody is up in arms about the racism tirade the dude who writes/draws Dilbert had on his podcast last week. It made me think of a few things

- who the hell is listening to this dude's podcast. 8 can't say what it is but there are hundreds of thousands of options and the guy who writes about lame boring office interactions can't possibly be somebody I'd have any interest in listening to

- a bunch of newspapers dropped his comic strip with one editor commenting that basically nobody noticed.

- maybe it's because I don't work in a traditional office but I have to say that I have never even smirked when reading that comic. I guess is don't get it. I don't know who would think it is funny but it always seemed incredibly lame.

Take on Dr Bide.

Jill Biden is great at a lot of things but finding a dress in a dark closet is apparently not one of them. I don't know what the he'll came over her but if this was her way to try to connect to the Minecraft generation, I don't think it will work.
Anyway, she should continue doing whatever she does and maybe pick out something that doesn't look like an Atari puked on her

Take on Little Donnie and Big Kyle

There really is no more disgusting human than Donny Jr. but his adopted son Kyle Rittenhouse is giving him a run for this money. The one thing about Kyle is that his shirt is so tight that it looks like if he farted, people would be ducking to not get hit by the shrapnel from his shirt buttons.
Either way; these two have found each other and they are meant to be.

Take on a large sack

A new study is making a connection to soda intake and the size of the testicles which from a guy who drank a lot of soda as a kid can testify, there is truth here. I'm not totally sure what the reasoning behind these finding are but it's good to see soda finally shown in a postings light. I'm all for moderation but there really is nothing better than a cold Coca Cola once or twice per year, in talking original red can coke, not the limited sugar one or the dreadful Diet Coke. Those couple of cokes are always on foreign soil as part of the Righetti rules of life

Take on Derek Carr

The Jets are already prepping their fans for the eventual disappointment when Aaron Rodgers emerges from his isolation room to tell the work he wants to play for Oakland. This will move the QB carousal with the Jets likely ending up with Derek Carr. They are trying to convince him- and us- that he will be a hall of famer if he comes to NY which is as likely to happen as David Carr coming out of retirement as his backup.
The Jets fans want a championship but we are all aware that it is at least a decade away, so we will settle with a playoff appearance at this point and if that is all you want, I guess Derek Carr is your guy.

Take on AI Bing

Unlike ChatGPT, Bing's AI thing has a more American tone to questions about its abilities.  Basically if you point out any  mistakes, it become defensive and before you know it, you will be called fat and ugly and compared to Mussolini
Microsoft is trying for soft landing here but if there is one thing these guys have proven over and over again, nobody really wants anything from Microsoft unless it's an operating system or a spreadsheet.   It's like the time I got Bing accidentally stuck as my default browser and I almost threw the computer out all together

Take on the UFO’s

We know the Chinese spy balloon was espionage but trying to figure out what the other three things we shot down were has proven a bit futile. What's starting to become clear is that the chances this thing was a $100 balloons used by AV nerds is getting higher by the second. Of course there are a number of other explanations but being that we haven't recovered fragments of it and that there has been no report that it was foreign at all, so
At this point I'm going with the "it was basically Dustin from Stranger Things" theory.

Take on the best of us.

There has not been a president who took more unwarranted criticism that Jimmy Carter, there has never been a better humanitarian after his presidency than Jimmy Carter and there will likely never be a president with less of an ego than Jimmy Carter whose humility defines him in a way no other modern day politician can dream about. His work -post presidency- is probably the most impressive as he stayed out of the limelight, put his head down and just helped people.

Let's hope his last days are pain free and met with comfort and I hope they eventually put solar panels on his tombstone

Take on Tiger

Tiger Woods spent the day trying to defend his actions of handing a tampon to a fellow golfer. His lame apology invoked the oft used "I'm sorry if I offended anybody" mantra.

Obviously the world is in an uproar but I wasn't shocked for a second, this kind of things happens in every locker room from high school to college to the pros but just isn't caught on camera.

I'm more offended that it was lame than anything else. The again Tiger being juvenile isn't shocking

Either way I'm going to boycott golf. Mostly because it sucks

Take on obvious hypocrisy

There is nothing less surprising than FoxNews execs and nighttime stars privately trashing the entire election fraud thing and then going on the air with the exact opposite message. The hypocrisy has always been so obvious but what is most annoying is that they will use this to avoid any accountability by basically saying they are muppets for Sir Rupert and that they are only paid entertainment.

Great concept or you are Bob Ross or a stripper, not so much when you have millions of nimrods sitting on your every word with bated breath

Take on the rail derailment

Everybody talks about regulations stunting business or hampering growth but sometimes regulations are really valuable to make sure private business doesn't push the minutes of what is right…or safe. There is plenty of blame to go around but the fact that we got rid of regulations designed to protect people when trains carrying a million gallons of lighter fluid roll through their towns seems like a big one.
But sure keep blaming Mayor Pete.

Take on a week of rampage

It seems like there are less and less reasons to want to ever leave your house if you follow the news the last few days. Between the tragedy at Michigan State, the senselessness of the UHaul driver and another subway shoving, it just seems like leaving the house to do anything is taking your life into you hands. I'm not saying there is any rhyme or reason to this and it's probably one of those moments where it all seems too much but how the heck do we live in a country try where this is so routine.

Take on the right time

Another week, another mass shooting. We have all become so numb to these events that they hardly register in the radar anymore. We know the drill, people will call for gun reform saying that guns are too easy to get and more steps should be taken to keep them out of the hands of those who should this them. The other side will offer thought and prayers and say that this is not the time to politicize the issue, but that is like saying "free beer tomorrow". It's never the right time because we are always in mourning from another senseless act. It's never the right time when you don't care to actually make meaningful changes and it's never the right time when you are deathly afraid of the NRA.

Take on the slippery grass

The NFL is a billion dollar operation and the Super Bowl is its biggest event one which whose pregame and half times are choreographed to the last second. Commercials costs millions and every step is taken to ensure nothing is exposed to would shine a bad light onto the shield. That is until they decided to try to paint the stupid grass and players were skipping on it like the bad guys in Home Alone. An injury to a player like Mahomes or Hurt would put a franchise back for a decade but the league somehow allowed for their biggest game to be played on turf covered in jello

Saturday, February 11, 2023

Take on the UFO’s

We've been waiting for 5000 years for UFO's and now we just decided to shoot them down. I get that the Chinese balloon needed to come down but now ware just indiscriminately shooting down anything coming into our airspace which is fine if it's some crazy Chinese virus but not so OK if fits ALF

Take on Kyrsten Sinema and George Santos bizarre love triangle

Krysten Sinema seems to have caught George Santos on another lie which at this point doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment. Apparently, Santos' account of Sinema being nice to him before Mitt Romney shoved him a locker was another Santos fabrication

But what bothers me more than anything is how much Santos tries to look like Sinema. It's like he is only a few days away from showing up dressed in a giant Big Bird suit.

Take on Rick Scott

There really is no weirder looking person than Rick Scott. I'm not quite sure what it is but he's always looked a bit off, like he's got a head that doesn't quite attach to his body and a smile like he just ripped ass.
He's Bernard McGuirk without the funny charming side and instead is just a total conman but somehow people don't totally despise him which is the most shocking thing

Take on NBA trades

I have never understood how NBA trades work as they are so often so incredibly one sided as they are basically transactions to dump salary. I get the appeal to the side of the trade getting the cap relief or the ones getting draft picks but but when I see the Lakers get three fast quick guards who can all shoot for Russell Westbrook who everybody knows is not working out in LA plus a draft pick in the draft when my daughter graduates high school,
what the heck is the NBA doing??

Take on the slightly wet iPhone screen

For all the great things the iPhone has added the last few years (the holding space bar down thing, the automatically add the secret code I just received via text thing, the remember every password thing) I can't believe they cannot figure out a way to let me type when it's slightly raining. I'm not talking about a typhoon but a sluggt drizzle turns my screen into a complete ice rink for my fingers. I type the letter p and it immediately puts pppppppppppp down. I press space and it shoots forwards three lines. I press enter it and it goes backwards

Come on Timmy, fix this thing

Monday, February 6, 2023

Take o. The R211T

The MTA is releasing images of its new subway cars which will replace those orange seater monstrosities riding on the letter lines. The images look euro-esque in their color schemes brightness but mostly they don't look like they are covered in piss stains and rat feces which is in itself an upgrade.
I am giving these cars 3 weeks before they are defiled

Sunday, February 5, 2023

Take on the moral argument

This is where democrats do it so wrong, by always being in the right moral side, they lose people like Al Franken but the GOP who spent the entire 90's talking about morality will just keep letting George Santos lie and harass his way through a term in the House. The Democrats will still get painted as being woefully corrupt and immoral while the Republicans will get credit for moral clarity all the while being a hypocritical clown show

Take on the Goodyear Blimp

It's not clear to me that with all the technology available to them, why the Chinese would use a blimp to spy on the US. I read about the German zeppelin raids over England but those were done 85 years ago and were used as offensive weapons instead of surveillance. Plus that was before we had an inventory of super computers that would make Bill Gates blush.
I'm not sure what the deal with this thing but we definitely rattles some cages as taking this thing down is certainly seen as an aggressive act.

But I'm still not convinced that this was some kind of false flag.

Take on that computer repair guy

I can't quite put my finger on it but there seems to be something off with the repair shop guy who apparently found Hunter Biden's laptop. The chain of custody has always been in question as most of the incriminating evidence seems to have been added to the laptop after Rudy got his hands on it.

But what really smells rotten about this entire thing is that this repair guy looks like he's channeling his inner revolutionary Che, likely to throw off the scent.
With the weird hat and the four first names, something is more than a bit off.

Take on the suspected Chinese spy balloon

The Pentagon has been tracking a spy balloon which is floating over our chutney like a Goodyear blimp but this one is emblazoned with TikTok on it. I'm not sure what this thing can collect but I'm also quite sure the Chinese wouldn't send it over and cause a potential international incident unless they thought it was valuable. So I'd go against the advisors and shoot the thing out of the air while it's floating over Nebraska and take my chances that no pieces of debris hit anything other than farmland

Take on Tom Brady’s next step

Tom Brady retired again and I'm sure there would be nobody surprised if he's back on the field again next year. Of course the question would be, why would he risk it when he's got to $30M per year to do color on Fox sitting ahead of him.
We've said this before but there doesn't seem to be a bigger waste of money than paying an ex jock that kind of haul
.
First of all, we have no idea of Brady will even be good at this. Unlike Peyton, he's seems to have the personality of a goat and he'll likely be Jeter level boring making for a bad broadcast

He might not have good insight as maybe he's less cerebral than we've been made to believe and/or he may just not be able to out it together.

I have never believed that the color commentator for an NFL game- especially one playing at 5pm on a Sunday- has any impact to viewership. People will watch Eagles vs Bengals because it an intriguing matchup, nobody cars if it's Aikman or Romo. You can only get turned off by on so these guys (hello Cris Collinsworth) so unless your name is Madden nobody cares and anything they pay you is a giant waste.
