Take on 46th and 8th

Nowhere is construction a bigger pain in the ass than in NYC.

Take the case of the corner of 46th and 8th, they
have been building this new building on this corner for what seems like a decade.

Forget the impact the new tenants will or will not have for the neighborhood, the impact
this stupid building has had on the traffic has been ridiculous.
They can't build these things without basically planting their asses
and rigs right in the middle of 46th street and it forces a backup all
the way to the West Side Highway. So they inconvenience the entire
midtown population so that some developer can get rich...
I am sure by the time they open up, they will be happy to invite us all in to use their crappers

The new Korean Air Lines tower that is being built smack in the middle of downtown L.A. where the old Wilshire Grand Hotel used to be is going to be the tallest building in America west of Chicago. The Wilshire Grand was demolished last year or so, and Turner Construction has already laid down the concrete foundation, and construction runs round the clock.

But it won't be completed until 2017.

So if we lease out some office space in the Wedbush building next door, it has a great view now, but I'm thinking the view will kind of suck in 3 years because we will just be staring at a building's many glass windows instead of the downtown L.A. expanse and skyline.

So, anyway, that's my office space dilemma right now. The 16th floor of the Wedbush building, the 7th floor of 550 S. Hope, or some floor of the CBRE building at 400 S. Hope. Decisions, decisions.

How about waiting till the Korean Air building is built and getting space in there. Think of the prestige

Can't wait that long. Our lease is up in March 2015, and the Korean Air Lines tower won't be done till 2017.

We will probably go with the more desperate of 550 S. Hope and 1000 Wilshire (Wedbush building). Desperation causes people who otherwise have a lot to offer do things they later regret and don't want to tell others about. I want to be the guy who causes deep, dark shame.

I want to be that guy.
