Take on the bench

Leave it to government to screw up the most simple task even when their intentions are good. A few months ago as part of a beautification program the city put up benches along third avenue giving some seating space for residents ad shop patron. But almost immediately I knew something wasn't quite right. It took me about three minutes of actually sitting in one of the new benches to realize the mistake. These clowns in their infinite wisdom set the benches about a foot off the curb keeping them comfortably out od the sidewalk path but then in a stroke of genius had them face towards the avenue. Basically it means that you will be staring at a parked car because as anybody in NYC will tell you, the chances of an empty parking spot on a busy commercial street is about 0.01%

Absolute idiots
