Take on jet lag.

When you wake up at 5am Tokyo time for a 7pm flight, you know you are in for trouble. Not only do you then spend the entire day worrying about your flight but when you finally get on you've already had a full day and are mentally drained. You think it's over but then still need to spend the next 19 hours actually getting home including a delayed layover.

This is what I didn't miss during Covid and would happily never do again but as much as the airport shuffle sucks the next day jet lag is even worse. The increase irritability and the mood swings suck but for me the auditory sensitivity is awful, loud noises, people talking over one another or high pitched screams make me want to jump out of an airplane window
