We're at that part of the story where Susan Collins is looked upon as the savior of the republic which always ends after some humming and hawing and some deep internal strive with Collins deciding with heavy heart to support Donald Trump. We've been here, we've done that, we've seen how this movie plays out and I'm not interested in the sequel. The chances of Trump actually being removed from office is minuscule and nobody expects any kind of real trial in the senate as long as Turtle McConnell is running the show but still it's the right thing to do as we need to recognize that nobody is above the law.
But to put any faith in Collins is foolish
