The US Covid caseload has jumped like crazy over the last month going from 12k to almost 67k per day and this entire thing can be blamed on one thing…the unvaccinated.

We have given up our lives, wore our masks, had our kids lose their childhood to try to contain this virus and protect our country but the selfishness from the red hat wearing crowd has made it so that everything we have done to protect us all has gone for naught because they can't do the basics. Forget getting vaccinated, if they would just social distance and wear a mask, we would have a chance to control this but they refuse to do even the bare minimum.

Some dive in southern California is requiring that all patrons be unvaccinated and saying they will need to show proof of the status in order to get served the meatloaf. This brings up the obvious question is how you prove that you are no vaccinated, will the restaurant scour your wallet for a vaccination card? Do they look in some giant government database to cross check your claim? Do they breath Covid in your mouth to see if you get sick??

I think the only proof of somebody being unvaccinated at this point would be if you see them wearing a red baseball cap.

Mo Brooks is like a parody. There is nothing genuine about him and the more he opens his mouth, the more you realize he's breathing fire. This lunatic who has defended the "peaceful protesters" was apparently wrong body armor on January 6th which seems like the thing you'd do if you were expecting to a Woodstock 2021 version

Ted Cruz is no longer a serious lawmaker. There was a point where he was principled to a flaw, then Trump called his father an assassin and his wife ugly and he put on 40 pounds and grew a terrible beard

Today he showed up in the senate looking like he just got out of his bed in a trailer park. He was wearing a pair of sweat shorts, a ratty old t-shirt and white socks with black sneakers. He looks like somebody shoved a Brooklyn Hipster in a garbage bag

George P Bush sold our his family to get down on his knees and beg Trump for his endorsement. As predicted, Trump let Bush wine and dine him and then took him our back and violated little P and went to tell anybody who would listen that he's never met P Bush. This is typical Trump and the groveling seems to fit P. Bush well, so we don't feel sorry for anybody but do think that by the time we are all set and done, Trump will have more power and sway in the party than he's ever had and will be allowed to play king maker for years and O Bush will come begging him for another dance

Big Huck, Sarah Sanders wrote an OpEd explaining why she got the vaccine and why she'd recommend the state of Arkansas should follow suit. I hate Big Huck like no one else and feel this is likely just some lame publicity stunt but if works to get more people vaccinated, I'd be happy to stand with Big Huck. We need Tucker and Sean and Trump and the rest of the psychos to start taking up the vaccine they have all gotten so that we have a chance at regaining our lives for real.

The Los Angeles Times came our with one of the most obvious results I've ever seen when they concluded after a thorough study that most unvaccinated people at this point don't want the vaccine. You can literally walk into a CVS, pick up a roll of toilet paper and a Twix bar and get a shot, it's not about availability, or convenience or time off of work or whatever. The ones who are left are ones who love their supposed freedom more than they love their common man and this is what's wrong with our entire country.

We know that screaming fire in a crowded theater is not protected by feee speech so tweeting vaccines are a hoax when they obviously will help us get past a pandemic which has put us through the mind of a devastation we never imagined.

There is nothing worse than New York City in the dead of summer. The city is great from mid August till June but becomes unbearable after that.

It's 85 degrees already, going to get to 100 today and humid as balls. The city smells like a homeless guy's five hole and I just had a window AC unit drip human sweat on me and it's nothing even 9am yet

Every death that covid is responsibility for is one too many, mostly because so many of them could have been preventable. It hasn't been a few weeks when we went from this crazy Alpha variant to the Delta variant which has been causing such damage with its incredible level of infection We know that even vaccinated people are still getting sick from Delta and I've gone back to wearing a mask all the time
But now I'm hearing that even though we don't have a grasp of what the Delta variant is capable of, we are already facing the Lambda variant which is apparently even more contagious.

Before we know it we will are going to.need monthly booster shots to have any hope of a normal life.

Hang up the Mission Accomplished banner across the front of Central Station because covid is over in the Netherlands. They may have come late to the vaccine party bur now that some have it. They've all decided that covid is no long a danger. People don't wear masks in public, they don't even have them with them. No chin straps, arm bands or anything
Restaurants are packed, museums are open for business and the Red Light district is lit up and tourists are coming back but still nobody is fearful for a second wave and I'm shocked.
Of course nobody wants to wear a mask and when it's summer it's particularly uncomfortable but come on people, we got this close can we at least pay it some lip service???

Toke on the 245th day

We're celebrating our 245th birthday today in true American fashion. Our citizens will spend the day eating a vast amount of greasy food, shooting off some cheap fireworks they bought across state lines, drinking cases of light beer, watching a little baseball on TV and taking a nap on the couch.
We've gone through a lot in these 245 years, we defeated the redcoats, we fought an insurgency from the south, we helped save the world and made it to the moon. We also stayed segregated for nearly 200 of those years, we've sent native Americans in a trail of tears, we have convinced ourselves that great wealth achieved by a small few is good for the masses. We've been stuck in what seems like a half a dozen quagmire unwinnable wars. We have taught to the lowest common denominator, we've stifled free thought with indoctrination and we've embraced a party which is openly hostile to the American ideals while cloaked in the American flag. And worst of all we elected a lunatic egomaniac and now he won't leave us alone.

I took my first flight in 18 months after having spent the last twenty years flying somewhere seemingly every other week and the entire experience was surreal. The lines were crazy, the etiquette was off and somehow people are walking around the airport wearing these white hazmat suits. I'm not talking airport workers who are digging through vats of waste but "regular" travelers.
I'm quiet sure wearing a plastic garbage bag won't prevent covid although it may help with weight loss which is always a good thing. But what was most weird about this was it wasn't as if there was just one person, I counted four completely different unrelated people in these things in the hour I spent walking through Schiphol

Take on the Trump downfall

It seemingly took a decade but the first show to fro on Team Trump happened today when Allen Weisselberg was charged with running a tax scheme. It's all white collar evasion at this point but you just know that if Weisselberg was doing it to avoid taxes on $1.7 million on income, so was Trump. Although I doubt Trump will ever face real heat here because he is notorious for never sending any emails and always keeping a purposeful degree of unaccountability but I do see the Trump Empire losing its ability to market itself, borrow or keep creditors away when their entire brand has been stained like a set of motel sheets.
