Nothing made me happier as a kid than walking to a McDonalds and refilling my fountain drink a dozen times. I remember being able to walk out with a drink, fried and Big Mac for like $5 which now seems totally surreal. I also put on 40 pounds from the day I graduated high school to the day I graduated college, so maybe these days weren't all that great.
