I'm sure Trump won't face the music in this as he's probably insulated enough and Weisselberg remains on the payroll which certainly reeks of a conflict of interest. But this is the world of Trump. They get away with everything because they have mastered the Art of the Gambino. Push the line as far as is allowed, then push further, push a bit further, move the line out a bit further and then smash it so far it's in a different hemisphere but be sure you give yourself the ability to deny accountability by never having anything ever put in writing or spoken out loud.
