Take on the Colonial Pipeline

I always imagined a terrorist blowing up a pipeline and dumping millions of crude oil into some hayfield. It seems easy enough as there is no way to secure thousands of miles of pipeline and sabotaging it seems relatively simple. But today's terrorists don't physically attack, they cyber attack and the devastation is just as powerful. Of course there is a lot more to it than that but it does show how vulnerable our infrastructure is, both our physical and our cyber infrastructure.

Although this entire thing feels a bit like a hurricane report where everybody goes to Stop and Shop and hoards all the toilet paper and bottled water. I wouldn't be surprised if Exxon Mobil, Shell and the rest of them are more than happy now
