Take on Matt Gaetz blanket pardon request

Matt Gaetz knew he was in deep trouble and he tried to obtain a get out of jail card from the only person more moral-less and loathsome than himself. The problem is that Trump had no use for him at that point and he wasn't going to give out a pardon out of the goodness of his heart. Trump is transactional but only forward transactional, he doesn't reward for previous defense, he's only interested in the future

Let's hope the screws continue to tighten on Gaetz because you know he'll sing like a canary.
