Rick Reilly warned us years ago that Trump cheats at golf, this seemed completely believable even if I never saw it We knew this guy was morally corrupt but still we decided to elect him...twice. Anyway he got caught cheating on video today which isn't a big deal because who cares how he stokes his own ego but it does explain why he always rides alone in his golf cart.

Israel had to be shamed into doing the bare minimum which is still woefully inadequate. This "conflict" has been going on for nearly two years and to call it anything other than what it is, is criminal. The hostages need to be released but we need to bring human aid to people confined in an open air prison.

When you realize that Trump is constantly distorting fact and then distracting you from following up on it, you use stand his political brilliance. I'm not talking about that in a positive light but the fact he can call out a reporter with a disability the way he did a decade ago and only gain support tells you he's figured out Americana in a way the rest of us can never. He plays on our worst instincts, nativism and racism and somehow gets the media to just give a collective shrug. The on the PBS and NpR cuts.

The cuts to PBS and NPR are going to hit rural stations really hard. We know that this is another example of some MAGA movement which will hit their own constituency extremely hard. I saw that the official PBS social media suggests that we should be donating to our local stations which is fine but I also am afraid that if there is no noticeable immediate changes because of local support, that's the entire concept of public media will be gone and we will have to fund it. Feels like just another example of a massive wealth transfer on the back of poor people.

Andrew Cuomo just won't go away. Not only can he not take a hint when somebody tells him that they are not interested. His filthy hands now are costing this state $450k. I always find that when a state or municipality has to pay out for the transgressions of an executive particularly awful, because it's just the residents who pay it. When earlier this week you see them fully flooded, you realize how resilient they are as the entire system was back up and running the next morning. I cannot give any good explanation how the US economy added 147,000 jobs when just yesterday ADP said that 33,000 private sector jobs were lost in the month.    This would imply that the public sector added 180,000 jobs which seems odd as DOGE has spent the last few months cutting government jobs.   Like bad tuna at 98 degree weather, something smells fishy.

You can't trust anything you see on the internet which feels even more true now that we are inundated with AI. So when I saw that Buffalo Wild Wings was offering some king of weird concoction of half Miller Lite and half Mountain Dew, I imagine this was just some clickbait crap but I think this might actually be true and if our society wasn't already on the decline, it just fell off of a cliff.
