I heard Obama stumping for Democrats does the Midwest this weekend and although I still love to hear him speak l, having him out there shows that the Democratic Party is still reaching. They haven't replace Obama nearly six years after he left office, he's still their biggest draw and it's not close. I'm not sure who's going to take the mantle but as long as he's not on the ballot, we can't expect him to make a real difference.
