This was like watching Hamilton on Disney+ and brining it up in every conversation, the rest of the world's been doing it for months and you are late to the party.
The difference ce is that Hamilton tickets are $1500 and a mask is like $5 And had Trump and his cronies not politicized it, we'd have many more not-dead Americans.

Betsy DeVos is a truly horrible human and has done more damage to the public education sector in three years than all the previous education secretaries combined. As if that title wasn't enough, she doubled down hard and started to push Trump's re-election centric plan to open up all schools in September. I want my kids back in school but only if the science backs that prospect, but since DeVos doesn't believe in science, that would be a big ask

It was certainly a difficult three months but as NYC stepped into Phase2 of reopening, we are all trying to navigate what normal is. NYC's transmission rate is incredibly low, mostly because we know how easily this thing is to transmit and because most people here wear masks
We're not sure how long it will take but this city needs tourists, restaurants, Broadway and all the rest of it, so opening up is a total necessity. We just have to stay vigilant and not move so quickly that we throw all the hard work away

But we will likely screw it up as we have all started to bring our guard down but I just 10 deaths is amazing considering we were peaking at 800+

Sadly a lot of the country didn't heed the warnings and are likely in for some real distress

The Tulsa rally turned out to be a dud mostly because the million people who were coming all forgot to come. It happens, sometimes you double book yourself for both a lunch at Chili's and a chance to see the president. It's a hard choice but you love the wings, so you pass up to see 45 and instead dig in to the wingers and order an extra large diet coke


The good news is that we were all afraid that there would be a gigantic spike in COVID cases stemming from this rally but since there was nobody there, we won't be worried

Trump threatened anarchists, agitators, looted and lowlifes if they dare come to his rally and state any kind of event with some kind of intimidating threat of force. What was odd was that he looped protesters in with that group of what was otherwise a pretty deplorable group.

John Bolton could have been an American hero but instead of testifying during the impeachment hearings, he waited for his his big payday which has come in the form of his tell all book. I've never liked Bolton, mainly because he's a war criminal but almost equally because of that Ned Flanders mustache.
He went after Trump pretty hard though which feels a little late but hopefully will stunt any momentum Trump has going into the elections. Trump's latest defense against Covid is to stop testing because nobody can be positive if there is no test to show they are. We realize Donny was just trying to make the case that more testing will lead to finding more cases immediately but with everything going on he just sounds like a moron

If you don't test for pregnancy, teenage pregnancy numbers will be super low for about 9 months, then they won't be so low anymore

Reports came out today that the White House was considering a Trump speech to the nation on race and unity which is absurd in every respect. He can tweet all he wants about having done more for African Americans than any other president but that doesn't make it remotely true

The most amazing thing about Trump is that he has single handedly rebuilt the reputation of W Bush. Maybe it's because W has stayed out of the spotlight, maybe it's purely a comparison to what awful really can be or maybe he's just kind of grown on us like that weird beard your coworker has been growing but when Bush came out to say he won't support Trump today I was proud of him. He was an awful president in many ways but he does have a heart and does want the best for this country, two things you could never say for Trump

The May job report came out and and it was shockingly less shitty than expected. Granted it's still like 8% higher than when Trump took office but it did come down off of last months highs. I always root for good job numbers, no matter which President so was hoot to see the economy maybe coming back. Sadly the Washington Post reporter that the job numbers were inflated and that the unemployment numbers are likely much higher And closer to 20% bases mainly on the fact that there seems to not really be an accurate category for furloughed.
Anyway, there are millions out of work and as the economy opens up we will likely find ourselves in a deep recession. So the chances of these job numbers really improving in the next few months is slim and as companies lay people off once their PPP money runs out, we will see the real effects of the economy.

Trump couldn't get his Mexican wall built so has no decided to barricade himself into the White House while the country burns. Trump has found himself in the bunker over the last few days and is apparently asking the army corpse of engineers to build him a moat filled with crocodiles as he believes that is what would keep the Mexicans out. Of course he's never had an issue employing them at his golf courses but this is different because he wants to sound tough while hiding deep inside the White House basement yelling insults.

The only question is who paid for this White House wall. .
