Take on the Japanese subway.

The difference between the Japanese mass transit system and the hellhole that is what we have in and around NYC could not be more evident than a Friday night subway ride to Shinjuku station. The floors are clean, the exit is orderly, the car is quiet and there is no fear of getting shoved onto the tracks. I know the idea of criticism of our subways is unheard of by some but it's not as if our buses or commuter rails are any better, the entire concept of US mass transit is so miserable that you'd rather sleep next to a gigantic rat...which sometimes on the train you do.
