Take on flights

I'm at a point where even I'm starting to get a bit nervous about flying. I've been a million lied for years and have dealt with my share of missed connections, delays and crazy flights but I have still never felt afraid to fly. But when Newark airport has 90 second outages in consecutive weeks while they are severely understaffed. I get a bit worried

Not sure how to fix this as throwing money at it won't get capable trained people there tomorrow, but the fact that we are flying blind seems less that optimal.
