I love my On sneakers even if it took me like two years to realize they weren't called QNs or QUs What I don't like is that this company has gone from making sneakers which are comfortable and kind of ugly to making a full line of horrible looking footwear which they seem to be multiplying by the day.

What was once a niche sneaker is now everywhere and they have thrown away any sense of style with every new offering uglier than the last. I see today that they are offering a Timberland style On which I have to imagine appeals to absolutely nobody. Everybody is pissed off that The Little Mermaid is no longer some weird red headed pale girl and instead now played by a black woman. Halle Bailey isn't the issue with this movie in the slightest, the fact she's making out with some dude who looks like he should be driving a tractor after five Budweisers is what makes this movies creepy. The guy who plays Erik looks like he has a bad opioid addiction and is about as relatable as a prince.

The mermaid looks like she's 16 and the prince looks like a 47 year old father of three who looks like he goes he actually drowns in that sea

flight last week and the entire plane looks like it's in one of those carnival wind tunnels. I am not sure what the end goal for this guy was but you'd think that he was either DB Cooper or just some guy so sick and tired of the comfort cat sitting in row 24B with her crazy lady owner.

I'm on a flight at 6am this morning after sleeping all of three hours because I had to be up at 3 and finally get into my seat. I'm hoping for a little shut eye before a long day of visits but as I close my eyes I hear a distinct meow. Now I get that people need comfort but who the hell brings a frigging cat on a plane.? This isn't a pillow or a stuffed animal but a live kitten meowing for the entire flight

It's annoying enough if it's an infant screaming but I gotta say nothing is worse than a cat in your right ear for 2.5 hours. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to these things so somebody else's comfort means I'm miserable

I never understand how the come up with penalties for crimes when comparing fines and prison time. There is this huge sign on the bus which says that if you assault a driver you could face 5 years in jail and $15k in fines. Now $15,000 is nothing to sneeze at but how is that at all similar to 5 years of hard time. Not sure what the fine should be but if they two have any relation with one another, you'd have to say it's like a $100k fine.

I'm excited about the AI future but mostly because it's new and exciting but when I start considering what it will mean and how it will stunt human creativity and drive, the more I get nervous. I can't claim to know anything about the technology and my fist run in with Chat GPT last month to try to come up with a round robin format of games of two groups with eight teams each playing eight events concurrently where the technology couldn't do anything better than I could But I know this is just a stepping stone and in a year it will come up with the entire thing and then some.
