Take on the return of the school shootings

The only good thing about the last year is that school shootings were down

Think about that. It took a once in a lifetime global pandemic to curb school shootings and that was only because schools were closed

We are the only nation on earth where kids are told by their parents what to do if a shooter shows up. We are the only country who needs active shooter drills, we are the only country where school shootings aren't even national news for longer than a few days

For everything there is to love about the country, and there is a lot, the fact we can't get a consensus to do everything in our power to stop school shootings is the biggest travesty
