If there truly is a hell I imagine the entrance looks like the subway entrance in Times Square on the corner of Broadway and 43rd street. There is no place more claustrophobic than this exact entrance and if somebody gets crushed to their death near there I would not be surprised. On the best day there are two working turnstiles for a sea of people which extends the line to get in onto the two flights of stairs into Times Square and its sea of tourist humanity, on the worst days there is only one working turnstiles and the backup seems like it goes on to 59th street. For all the improvements I always hear the Times Square redevelopment committees tout, I'd like to see one that actually benefits the working men and women of this city and not just the hobos, tourist and the naked Cowboys.
